212_degrees_fit For those of you that missed this morning... It's that time again...Mindful Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend, now it's back to full steamahead! I gave you guys a glimpse into my day yesterday during meal prep. Just wanted to share some thoughts on why it's so important and beneficial

Most of us live crazy busy lives with little time to make wise decisions about food meaning types and how much we eat. We look for anything that's convenient with many of us going all day with nothing and then binging for dinner The reason meal prep is so very important to each of us who take pride in taking care of ourselves through health & fitness is to ensure that we keep gas in our tanks. We aren't able to live our oh so crazy lives with lack of energy! How do you expect a car to keep running with no gas?! It'll break down right??? Well that's what happens to us!! Setting an alarm every 2 1/2-3 hours to ensure that your eating something is very wise. And having your meals and snacks already packed and ready to go takes away the guessing game and settling for what you shouldn't be ingesting. Meal prep takes the hard work out of staying focused with food and nutrition, Because it's all ready to go for you. The benefits are you know you won't miss a meal, you know what's going into your body, allows you to try new and fun recipes, and preparing your food tastes so much better than going out I grocery shop every Sunday to ensure I'm receiving the freshest meats, fruits, & veggies to maximize my nutrients!! Take 2-3 hours out of one day a week to prepare your meals to give your body the best so it can be its best! I know nutrition is the most important part of your fitness success but remember it also plays a part in how long you'll hang around for. So be smart keep your plates colorful & take care of you, YOU'RE WORTH IT!!!

I haven't had a drink in 3 weeks and there's nothing wrong with treating yourself sometimes! Meal prep is something I look forward to every week. It's my time that I owe to myself to ensure that I keep gas in my Tank!! I try new recipes and know everything that's going into my body. I grocery shop Sunday and choose the freshest meats, fruits,& veggies to maximize my nutrients! Remember you owe to yourself to make no excuses on why you haven't eaten or don't have time to eat. Take 2-3 hours out of one day a week to ensure that breakfast, lunch, & dinner is served!
