evie_rose_designs I love where I live! Beautiful walk along the river in the sunshine, shame about the freakishly large flies though

celticreflections HappyBirthday mum! I took this on your 80th. In the car at your favourite place, eating icecream we'd been sharing #stories. I said you'd had an amazing life & you said not really "everyone has a tale to tell it's just they don't always share it or people listen". You went on to ask me to do a project to "celebrate the fishing, bringing folks the gither tae talk, tae hae fun, enjoy a laugh an' remember, something for the #peopleofthesea" i promised but amidst much laughter I decided #carpediem - we should visit the 3homes where you'd lived. At the 2nd, so excited mum's laughter alerted all so I knocked on the door. A man invited us in. Mum went around bringing the past to life but a #piano squeezed in the hall? "Och it had to be there, we'd fling open the door & drag it oot on the landin. Yer granny played fer the dancers! No TV in these days, aw the neighbours wuid gaither the gither, hae #ceilidhs, #sing & #dance on the green". The joy for mu remembering such happy times & I've held a few ceilidhs on her birthday since 12,000 have seen my #peopleofthesea exhibitions & I wonder how many around the world have heard my CD #peopleandsongsofthesea what can come from appreciating our past. I #love my #Scottishculture #family IS SO IMPORTANT. All who read this please share your stories. 21stMay started my #journey from #Fisherrow to #ireland #bc #canada #usa & beyond. Glad to talk on #fishing #eastlothian #music #scotland & my work at #festivalradioscotland thro a broadcast for another #radiostation #shonamcmillancelticreflections #savefamilyphotos #shonamcmillanfishing #instascotland 23h
