fittris11 Ok... Time to share some struggles... We adopted Zoe two weeks ago. She is an amazing & loving dog. I leave for work in the afternoon and there is a 4 hour gap in between when I leave and my hubby gets home. She has severe separation anxiety. She destroyed my coffee table, couch, and now my favorite, very expensive chair. My husband was ready to throw in the towel with her. I am not ready to give up on her. Send some positive vibes my way as I begin the Crate training process. 🏻️🏻 #cratetraining #badpup 1d
  •   katielakeholt We crate all three of our dogs. There is too much for them to get into and potentially mess up. 1d
  •   apomerbeatriz Believe it's not easy! 1d
  •   marybagriy Crate training is the way to go. But sometimes pups will destroy things, gotta be prepared for that. After a year or so of crating she can stay out alone it's just a matter of trading her brain that being "alone" is not freak the fuck out danger time. Good luck, don't give up on her! 1d
  •   sparkles_shine_glitter Yup we crate train to when we are gone she's in her crate until we can fully trust our pup she's just over 9 months and she still has managed to destroy our coffee table and some walls but it's just a phase that they will outgrow 1d

  •   brittanycavero my pup was the same way! she drove me crazy. she ate walls, lamps (cords eaten right out of the outlet it was plugged into), pepper spray, tables, two chairs, our couch, shoes, motorcycle gear, 5 dog beds, backpacks, crayons/pens/markers, all the chapsticks & lotions, dirty garbage are her favorite, countless blankets, glow sticks, everything in our yard...our list goes on. now we crate and it's amazing. our big boy stays out, he's okay with separation. good luck! lots of cookies and positive reinforcement, she will get it in a few days. 1d
  •   ktdid571 Yup dont give up on her! Crate training is the only way to go. They love it, it doesn't hurt them or your things. Its the"den"feeling make it small big enough that she can stand and turn around in it. Not huge so they think they can go potty in it. I wouldn't put any blanket in with her either in fear that she may chew that up and eat it. Thats what mine would do. And when i put them in i say go in your house. Poof and when you get her out don't talk to her at all just go right outside to go potty. Use lots of praise too. Good luck. I used for a couple of years then let them out but when i leave the house i still lock up mine up i have three. All rescues. Shes a cutie... lots of time dedication an love. You can do it!!! 1d
  •   ccoltrain Deep breath, I know this all sucks. I have been here. Let me share a visual funny for you. Lock your husband in the trunk for 10 minutes and he can't get out. Open the trunk and what is his reaction???? Hmmm let me guess pissed as all get out. Do the same to your dog and open the trunk, what is the reaction? Mom, I love you with many kisses. THEY ARE WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR TIME. MAKE THEM EARN YOUR TRUST, THEY WILL LOVE YOU MORE FOR IT. YOU GOT THIS. 1d

emberthemalamute Mom left me in the kennel with my breakfast while she went to workout downstairs. Safe to say I didn't like that and splashed my water everywhere in protest. I'm now in time out till dad gets home from class. #badgirl #naughty #badpup #tempertantrum #tantrum #puppytantrum #malamute #malamutesofinstagram #alaskanmalamute 2d
