birkettinthewild A street in Andasibe village, on the edge of the rainforest. This was the "dry season" and it rained constantly and the whole village was a river of mud. In January they expect around 17cm of rain. I've been acquainted with rain and mud in my time (having grown up on a farm) but this was something ELSE. Incredible that people can build lives in a place that is so remote and inhospitable. Nuff respect.

birkettinthewild Went on a night hike through the rainforest and bumped into a green chameleon called Susan Fletcher, who was just doing the rounds. Lovely to see her out.

roshnibajaj Things I miss about Madagascar: Trekking through the rainforest to watch lemurs swing through the trees, and finding wild orchid species along the way. #muchmuchlatergram 3w

kenzabouamoudalix Travels are the only thing you buy that make you richer. For my first (but not the last I hope) humanitarian travel, I've learnt a lot. It was only few months ago. What I love on those trips is to share in both sides : teach and being taught. I share my days with amazing children in a poor village in Madagascar but even if poverty was all around them I have no sawn it because it was hidden behind their beautiful smiles...my vision of the word have changed and I really grew up from this humanitarian mission. One day I'll come back there. #madagascar #humanitarian #mission #solidarity #remember #summer #trip #african #children #games #playing #school #andasibe #epp #share #love #smile 1mon
