camcollector The late Eaton Lothrop is well-known in the camera community as an author and world-class collector. Thanks to Mr. Lothrop's daughter, I've been fortunate enough to add this Essex to my Chicago Cluster collection! #EatonLothrop #127film #cameracollection #vintagecamera #chicagocluster #essex #acenturyofcameras 10h
  •   derekstoye Wow! So this was in Eaton Lothrop's collection? Very cool John. He had a massive camera collection. 10h
  •   camcollector Yes! James McKeown told me that between himself and Eaton Lothrop, they had most if not all of the different body styles of the Chicago minicams. The Essex is in McKeown's book, quite probably because of this very camera! 9h
  •   derekstoye @camcollector Sweet. Did you know Mr. Lothrop himself or his family? 9h
  •   camcollector @derekstoye No I never met Mr. Lothrop, but I have spoken to his daughter on a few varied occasions. I don't know her personally though. 9h
  •   centurygraphic Sweet home Chicago. 9h

harley.cowan Look what I got! This unexposed roll of Ferrania ultracromatica was produced in June of 1946. Looks like this is 127 format. Not sure if I'll try to shoot it or just keep it. #filmisalive #filmferrania #ferrania #mediumformat #127format #blackandwhite #havefilmwilltravel #1946 #127film 2d

psychedelicpandaparty Ugh, I've been in bed trying to get over my horrible cold/flu before my birthday tomorrow. Luckily this tasty package arrived to lift my spirits! More delicious expired 127 film.... All for me to play with. I feel like a kitty with a fresh bag of nip! Just what the doc ordered. #expiredfilm #rollfilm #127film #specialdelivery 4d
  •   dschipoint I'm in love. 4d
  •   mrcarbonmonoxide So envy! 4d
  •   dancingtreespirits Omg!! Me too!! 4d
  •   drawingfromusic #whoa how much did that run ya? 4d
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @photoboy1708 thank you! I need to test it to figure out the asa and just play around with the developing. Just bought some rodinal to use with it too. It's a big mystery! I think it originally was ISO 80, but it's surely degraded.... But how long I am not sure since the rolls lack an expiration date! I have some cool ideas for all of this old film! All will be revealed soon 4d
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @drawingfromusic this actually wasn't THAT bad... It was around $60 with shipping. That brick of verichrome from '73 was a LOT! I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much.... Haha. I'm obsessed. 4d

  •   old_n_vintage_camera Where do you buy your 127 film? 1w
  •   judymboyle @old_n_vintage_camera I bought about a dozen rolls of it from Freestyle Photo http://www.freestylephoto.biz/category/1-Film?attr%5B%5D=1-275 When I saw they had it, so I could test out my 127 cameras. I develop it myself in Kodak D76 or caffenol 1w

  •   ssordid Hello! I stumbled upon you though the #127film hashtag. I have a question, I am hoping you can provide me with some help. I have this exact model camera and do not know how to load the film. I'm do hope you can get back to me! Thank you 2d
  •   judymboyle @ssordid it's the first time I loaded it and I haven't taken photos yet. I took the back off the camera and placed the roll of film in the middle opening and rolled the film onto the spool on the left. I turned a few times then closed the back and wound until I could see the number one. I believe the extra opening on the far right inside the camera is to carry an extra roll of film. 2d
  •   judymboyle @ssordid hopefully I'll have some photos from it to upload soon 2d
  •   ssordid Thank you so much. I appreciate your help! I really was unsure how to load it as all the falcon miniatures I've come across I online were different models. You're a life safer! I can't wait to use this beauty of a camera and can't wait to see your photos as well! 2d

psychedelicpandaparty Since I had so much success with the 1973 verichrome, I decided to run a roll expired in 1965. It's just dreamy. The older the better. I'm finding out that it is hard to acquire.... In a reasonable price bracket. Here is a double exposure self portrait from Monday's test shoot. #erintheartist #selfportrait #film #blackandwhite #expiredfilm #127film #toycameras #imperialsatellite #rollfilm #expired #1965 #verichromepan #portrait 2w

psychedelicpandaparty Falling. This is just a test. From that expired brick of 1973 kodak verichrome pan.... 127 roll film through an Imperial Satellite. It turned out better than I imagined considering how old it is. A big thanks to @a_cricket for going out to the beach to help me test the film! #erintheartist #toycameras #film #blackandwhite #filmisnotdead #127film #rollfilm #expiredfilm #1973 #verichromepan #thebeach #vintagelove #imperialsatellite 2w
  •   romuleald Argh, ok, thanks you for such information, I think I will try to make 3 pictures of each with different presets. I already try a 1986 negative color, it worked but needed to be pushed more! Color chrome seems even harder to get some info 2w
  •   romuleald I'll add that your work is amazing, full of beautiful pictures and also information for analogue photographer who like to test unusual things 2w
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @romuleald oh I love expired chrome. It can be crazy.... But I usually cut the ISO in half when I shoot it, have it developed normally and it usually looks pretty good (but I had a lot of stuff from the 90's). I just got some old kodak vericolor to try out.... But we will see how it come out! 1w
  •   emilyrosetheo Ah I see now!! This looks great. Nervous about my film though cause I don't process of develop my own. It's probably a good idea to tell the guy I go to what he is in for when processing. Adding time to the process helps? Down to gain any knowledge you are willing to give up! You seem to have a system down pretty good with beautiful results!! 1w
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @emilyrosetheo well, I did use the chemistry I had available... But I am going to try to use some different developers in the future to see the results. I added a little time since the forums I read mentioned it... And I shot it in bright sunlight with a set shutter at 1/50 (toy camera) so I didn't have many variables. I'm gonna try artificial light and play with shadows and long exposures too, so we will see. But, the BW film is surprisingly hearty. I even pulled images from a mystery 1950's pan roll that someone shot 60 years ago... So I wouldn't be too nervous! It doesn't necessarily need special chemistry, just maybe more time. I do my own processing which prob makes this easier (plus, I can blame myself if something goes wrong!). I hope you get good results! My fav film is from the 60's.... So the 80's should look pretty good. My fav BW for a while was a box of expired tri-x from 1994. 1w
  •   emilyrosetheo Wonderful. Thanks for all the info!! I'm excited to give it a go and see what happens! I look forward to seeing your future adventures in expired film too! 1w
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @emilyrosetheo awesome! Well I'm looking forward to seeing what you get. Above all else, have fun with it! I leave the rest up to chance :) 1w

psychedelicpandaparty Came home to find this tasty treat on my doorstep. A whole unopened brick from 1973. I'm feeling super broke now, but it was worth it. Gonna go test a roll this afternoon since the clouds are looking lovely. #filmisnotdead #vintagelove #expiredfilm #127film #rollfilm #kodak #verichrome #verichromepan #expired1973 3w
  •   felonyflatsleatherco Nice. I used to buy cases of chrome films, and do exposure/development tests. I was figuring you must be doing something similar :) 3w
  •   kh_kd 3w
  •   eloisemaree You are such a gosh damn talented lady! 3w
  •   romuleald I'm so jealous. I picked up also some very old chrome (3200iso), I'll be interested with your result exposure and dev time if you share them. 3w
  •   sorryimworking I'm interest in your processes. Do you have an email? 3w
  •   bb.initials Damn damn damn 3w
  •   emilyrosetheo Did you develop any of this yet? I just got a few rolls from 1984 that I'm excited to use. Curious what will come out. Figure if you're come out mine have a chance!! 1w
  •   psychedelicpandaparty @emilyrosetheo yeah, I posted the results just a few images later.... (The ones at the beach). I posted a roll from '65 and '73 1w
