zeecrnls Some of Barber Faz's (@fazisml) weapons of choice at @DeepCutsSG.
I am thankful for the opportunity to speak and getting to know Faz on a deeper level.
Not many youngsters I've met who are as purposeful and determined as Faz.
It was definitely an eye opener & an inspiration for the new week.
Thank you, Faz!

zeecrnls Meet Barber Faz (@fazisml). The founder of @DeepCutsSG.
We first heard of him when his team of barbers were sharing space in Yishun. Within a year, #DeepCutsSG managed to propel and got themselves a proper space.
They are now housed on the upper floor of a shophouse along Kampung Bahru.
Gentlemen, get your haircut and grooming from Faz & his team. Visit their IG or Facebook to fix an appointment!

zeecrnls Earlier today, I met with a very young and determined entrepreneur.
He stepped his foot into the Gentlemen Grooming business just less than 2 years ago. He is not a typical barber, mind you. Each customer will take him between 45 minutes to an hour.
To top off their experience, their hair will be groomed with pomade. Pictured here are some of the pomades he offers to his customers.

zeecrnls While I do miss the wooden benches of the stadium, numbered seats are so welcomed! No more squeezing for spots as your butt has its own dedicated space!

This was the last shot before I was asked to leave by the stadium's usher. Haha!

zeecrnls I love the fact that the term "Kallang Wave" got immortalised. While we were walking around the stadium getting to our gate, the sheer noise coming from the crowd inside was enough to make my hair stand.
Memories from the high days of Singapore football in the 90s rushed in. I thank my DaddyO for always bringing us to football matches in those days.
The feet thumping throughout the stadium while waiting for the Kallang Wave to reach your section is enough to make your adrenalin rush. Gosh! I cannot wait for Singapore vs Malaysia game here!

zeecrnls I've been waiting for the first football match to happen in the spanking new Stadium. It was supposed to be Singapore vs Malaysia.
Last night it was Singapore selection vs Juventus. Never mind that I know nuts who the Juve players were. What important was the Kallang roar & wave came alive!

zeecrnls This man needs no introduction. Unless you are not following me and stumbled upon this photo, this fella is Mr Cornelius. The man who is with me 24/7.
This is the last of my 3x3 grid #metaphortuesday series. I realise I take so much photos but I don't share them. So I'm trying to make it a habit to share at least a 3x3 for each instameet/event.
Wanna #exploresingapore with me next time?

zeecrnls The main entrance to SAM was where we used to gather before parting. But seldom do we look up.
Now, where can I get those hanging lamps for myself?

zeecrnls If I could give out an award, Nuru (@hid22a) would have gotten herself The Most Japanese-Influenced award.
From fashion to music to even healthcare, Nuru is almost au-naturel Japanese except that she is not as quiet or soft-spoken as a typical Japanese girl. Not that this is a bad thing at all!
Nuru is always our disco ball; bright and cheery. She is the life of our outings or instameets.
But that's not the only thing about her. Check out her alternative account @nuru.okajun and immerse in her world.

zeecrnls While the National Museum's building was made to build for museum purposes only, SAM was a school before it was used for an Art Museum.
Interestingly it was built by the La Salle brothers but the tiles look very Peranakan, don't you think?

zeecrnls I was excited when we had Singapore Art Museum (SAM) in the plan. The Wan (@wancrnls) & I used to come to SAM regularly for events we helped with back in our younger years.
I had the chalkboard ready since last week and I excitedly purchased neon chalkboard markers yesterday itself.
Here are the feet of those who explored #metaphortuesday with me yesterday.
Thank you for the company and willingness to #exploresingapore together!

zeecrnls "Together but apart"

I love the strong architectural of the Museum. To think that the building was built in the late 1880s, it is such an awe that the building stands strong and proud.
Can you imagine the hard work and workers who were involved in building the Museum?

zeecrnls This young man has a creative mind. While he is known for the editing master of photos on @instagram as @midzisupremo, Midzi has a second account @rocketrakoon.
I met him during my very first instameet in November last year.

zeecrnls When I was younger, I heard many eerie stories of this spiral staircase in the Museum. But now that I'm older, it only intrigues me.
Like many other preserved colonial buildings in Singapore, staircases like this is always hidden in corners. Such a beauty, tucked away. I wonder why.

zeecrnls Meet Herwin (@m_herwin), the guy who started @exploresingapore.
We used to throw paper balls at each other when the office stress got too high. That was about a decade ago.
He's been my buddy ever since and we now share the same entrepreneurial passion.
Recently he was featured on @instagram and I couldn't be more than happy for him!
On days we need more creative juice and inspiration, we #exploresingapore together. Yesterday, we went to two museums and the Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall.

zeecrnls This clock tower was given a whole lot of airtime in many P.Ramlee movies.
But the most memorable movie for me where it was shown has to be Labu Labi.
The clock tower stands tall atop the freshly renovated Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.
I still remember fondly coming here to catch Lantai T Pinkie (T Pinkie's Floor) with a dear friend in the late 90s.
Even if you have no plays or concerts to catch, it is open til 9pm (daily, I think!) for you to admire its preserved colonial structure.
