ylmommyx4 12 rows of ribbing and it's feeling a little easier to handle. 4d
  •   sewpsychd 4d
  •   rstogether As a novice knitter, why is your stitch marker where it is? Are you using it, or is it just hanging out? Cute though. 4d
  •   ylmommyx4 @rstogether it's just marking the first side so I know where I started when it gets time to make the heel 4d
  •   ylmommyx4 @yarnink I'm loving this mint raspberry swirl yarn. 4d
  •   crazymomquilts It's looking good!! 4d
  •   ghgn09 I feel the same way. The first rows are difficult after that it gets fun. I love working w/ 5 needles 4d

ylmommyx4 Trying Double point needled for the first time. This seems really awkward compared to circular needles. Any helpful hints are gladly accepted. @susanbanderson 5d
  •   ilikeorangetoo It's easy to drop stitches or lose your place. Just make sure you know where you're at at all times and it will be fine. It gets easier as you keep going around. Bamboo is a bit easier with slippery yarns. 4d
  •   machenundtun It's just a bit weird in the beginning, it really gets better after a few rows. Always look carefully which needle you'll pull :-) 4d
  •   clcknits I have been knitting socks for over 15 years and the first couple of rounds are so awkward. Hang in there! 4d
  •   jackiesstitches Much less fiddly/faster than magic loop IMO. Fewer ladders too. 4d
  •   ylmommyx4 @jackiesstitches @clcknits @machenundtun @ilikeorangetoo @ellathrowawench thanks friends. I've finished 12 rows of ribbing and it's gotten less fiddley . 4d
  •   ylmommyx4 @needleandspatula @rstogether I've done 10 pairs on circular needles so I'm ready for a new challenge. I hear it's faster. I'll let you know. 4d
  •   sewpsychd As you go to a new needle, slip the last one under the end of the new one. Stays out of the way better. First stitch on the new needle, tighten up extra. It'll come out just right:). They are faster and once you get a rhythm of where you want the not in use needles to ride, really fun. Enjoy!! 4d
  •   trilliumdesign Try using 5 instead of 4 4d

ylmommyx4 @canadianabroad the price varies. This is about average on Amazon. 5d
  •   jenniferjohnston80 Part of the reason I don't spray baste is because of the insane price for this stuff in Canada. 5d
  •   canadianabroad @melrosecakes Did you see this? 5d
  •   ylmommyx4 @canadianabroad I think because it's made in France it's cheaper to import to you guys. 5d
  •   canadianabroad The things I didn't know. 5d
  •   ylmommyx4 @canadianabroad I just read the label. It's made in the UK. bingo! You win 5d
  •   canadianabroad Well there's something I really didn't know. I'll be looking at my tin when I get home just because I can. Thanks Di. 5d
  •   melrosecakes Free shipping generally only counts in the states. Usually $20.00 to ship anything to canada. I will look into that though. 5d
  •   melrosecakes I found one on Amazon for $15.50 Cdn plus $22.25 shipping 5d

ylmommyx4 Here's another first. I made the pumpkin pie filling and will freeze it until next week. Then @ylpaulo just has to thaw it and pour into a refrigerated pie crust and bake. #Thanksgiving 6d
