yermaryyang Pressing a PR of 95! Ugly grind but it'll do, lol. My rest days from the gym are more so reflection days, so with that... I remember the first day I benched just the bar and it was so difficult for me. Lol or maybe I was just being the biggest baby about it, or probably both. I used to forget about bench but I'm happy to say it's slowly growing on me. We all start somewhere, right? Keep the grind. 2w

If the bench is too tall for you like it is for me, you can put plates at the floor to give yourself height. Remember the 5 point contact: head, back, butt, right and left foot stays parallel to the floor. 2w

yermaryyang High bar VS low bar and horrible form VS better form. L: squatting 135 (two months ago with no training, just picked up lifting and tracked this as a PR). R: squatting 175 (with two weeks of training and consistent lifting). This is my most recent PR. I kill for moments like these but I know that this is not all it's about. Someone said to me my first day of training, "don't be so ambitious." Why not?! My ambition only gets me places. 😎 2w

yermaryyang These pictures don't do justice because I didn't take the recent ones the same way I took the old ones. Lol. Nonetheless, the only thing that has really changed is my mentality. The pictures on the right were during my phase of losing weight (April 2014 @ BW: 112). I'm now a little over a month with no cardio whatsoever and no core workout, and also eating more. Since any cardio, I've picked up weights and most recently powerlifting. My body feels much better (BW: 116) and I'm happier this way. I honestly try to eat in moderation but sometimes a couple cookies and donuts aren't enough. This is only the beginning; I have a long way to go and I'm nowhere close to being done with bulking.

Remember that your body weight is just a number. Find your solace and keep with it.

yermaryyang July 2013, a couple weeks before my 20th birthday with no stable, strong mental state of mind whatsoever. Carefree and focused on being cute and having a fun summer. Lmao.
