xlil Sweet potato fries with garlic aioli @gotfries. Wasn't quite full after our lunch so @nancyychen and I had some sweet potato fries! YUM! Fresh and thickly cut. 2d

xlil Smoked Salmon Salad @lidnjar. Roast beetroot, quinoa, walnuts, radish, watercress with housemade sweet lemon dressing or so the menu said. Salmon was tasty but the dish was missing half the ingredients (a bed of leaves with no radish and no dressing)! Quite disappointed with this dish, particularly with the 40min+ wait for both our dishes... We mentioned the wait to the lady at the cashier when we were paying and they said that it was a new menu. Hope they've improved since. 2d

xlil Had a late lunch with @nancyychen a couple weeks ago at @lidnjar (Chatswood) We shared a couple dishes. This was the Smashed Peas - sourdough toast with smashed peas, free range poached eggs, grilled asparagus, fresh mint and goat cheese. Waited so long for a rather underwhelming dish. the smashed peas could have done with a bit more flavouring (especially mint). Didn't fancy the abundance of fruit flies they seemed to want to become condiments to our dish. Apparently they had only just introduced the new menu that day so hopefully the dish is better now. 2d

xlil Sadhana lasagne @sadhanakitchen. The lasagne was made out of zucchini pasta and walnut mince with cashew cheeze on top. I was not expecting to be full from this but my expectations were completely blown out of the water. 5d

xlil Doing some catchup-gramming haha. Kitkats galore from Japan courtesy of @theveryhungrykaterpilla. The houjicha one was amazing (I haven't tried them all yet though). Also a deer biscuit, matcha biscuit, pickled garlic and cute postcard with instructions on how to do okonomiyaki. So cute! Pickled garlic was an interesting snack and the matcha biscuit was divineeeeee. Thanks so much, Cat!! 1w
  •   xlil Oops forgot to mention the konpeito, which are apparently the fave foods of the soot balls in Totoro. Super cute balls of sugar with different flavours. Not entirely sure what flavours though, as they just taste like different kinds of sweetness haha. 1w
  •   theveryhungrykaterpilla No worries! Japan is the best!!!!!!!! Also woha so bright and white! <3 1w
  •   samanthawxlow @theveryhungrykaterpilla hi I'm going to japan soon! Is it possible to buy these individually or did you buy the large packets of all of these and divided it amongst friends? I've tried them before but i really want to avoid buying big bags of kitkat that I know I won't finish! I just want a bit of everything 1w
  •   xlil @theveryhungrykaterpilla It's super edited hahaha 1w
  •   theveryhungrykaterpilla @samanthawxlow I bought bags (12 minis per bag) and divided them up, but they also have smaller boxes for some flavours, with only 3 per box. 1w
