xiaxue I just don't get how people can be so hypocritical. Donate all that you have to charity, leaving only the bare necessities (and by that I mean no Internet, no phone, not even a can of coke), before you start thinking you are better than me.
You aren't.
You are just the same self-serving asshole I am - putting myself and my loved ones first before strangers who might be suffering more.

The only difference between you and me is that I know exactly what I am and I've made my peace with it. Unlike hypocrites who somehow think they they are selfless and kind and better than others.
Sorry to reveal the ugly truth to you and all, BUT IF YOU HAVE INTERNET, YOU HAVE EXCESS. (Haha also access geddit?) According to your asshole logic, people with excess should donate it all. AND YOU AREN'T DOING IT, SELFISH BITCH.
How does it feel like to have someone dictate to you where you should spend your money, judge you for it, and strong-arm you into feeling empathy for every miserable thing in the world?

For those who cursed my family and even my baby with ALS simply because I think ALS is irrelevant TO ME, there is a special place in hell reserved for you. What has my baby done to deserve you wishing such a horrible thing upon him? And how, how can you possibly think an evil person like yourself can somehow teach me a moral lesson? 😧 This is just perplexing. I feel like Hitler just lectured me on the importance of all human life.

  •   aem2011 @littlelexci asl is less relevant than other charities. Less relevant to ME. Relevant means "closely related to" and there are a plethora of other charities that are more closely related to me and those I love, therefore there are a plethora of other charities that are more relevant to me than asl. Understand what I'm saying? Strictly to make people feel better? Please reread, it seems your emotions are clouding your reading comprehension skills. I never said strictly, but the vast majority of the people I know aren't donating and don't even know what the cause is for. How do I know? Because I'm asking. Point blank, I think this challenge is stupid and I won't donate, and I'm not alone and none of your judging or ignorance is changing any of that so bubye 32min
  •   speediecutie Well said 😎 15min
  •   lauvicky agree with you and support you 14min
  •   oheaux I can see how you may be annoyed by people telling you what you should do with your money and how you are heartless for not donating, but you can't deny how insensitive and pointless your previous rant was. It was almost like a tirade, and honestly--what was that for? Why should, why must you discount others' effort for charity? If you wish to be left to yourself, without pressure and judgment for your decision to live selfishly, why then are you judging people for wanting to do charity? That's really annoying as well and also even more useless than people dumping water over themselves. Sure, it is your platform and it is your opinion and you have EVERY right to post it. But you also have like 500anJust as how others' self-serving, do-gooding antics is annoying for you, so are your sentiments about 10min
  •   oheaux *But you also have 500k followers and it is simply inevitable that people are going to respond to that. 9min
  •   nalalilabamba Asl may be irrelevant to many people as it's a very rare disease and not very many people would be affected as by Down syndrome, for example. This asl ice bucket challenge isn't only for charity but it's also for (and I highlight this) raising awareness, which is very very important. It may be true that someone that is nominated for it may not have put a single penny towards the cause, but they would have most likely known about this disease. Now that the ice bucket challenge has gone viral the people that they wanted to bring it up to (pharmaceutical companies, medical research companies). Through social media they are raising more and more awareness and therefore they're will be progress with all those cases of ASL hopefully. It wasn't right for people to call you out because you said you wouldn't donate, after all everyone has their freedom. But. Calling it irrelevant to you and that it's forgettable might have caused sensitivities with people who might be diagnosed or know someone who is. And people who do charity are not hypocrite, they might never care about ALS after they have donated but they have helped someone and in the end this what the ice bucket is for. People shouldn't have been rude to you but what you said in your post about the ice bucket challenge was in fact slightly rude 8min
  •   olivia_24 @xiaxue all of this could've have been avoided had you taken the challenge and donated $10. Ten freaking dollars is not gonna make you richer or poorer. The rules are take the challenge and donate $10 or don't do it and donate $100. If you didn't want to donate at all then you shouldn't have done the challenge regardless if it's a "cool thing" to do. You have honestly shown how selfish you are. It's good Karma to do good to others. You don't know, maybe those with ALS or other diseases are fans of yours and you have just made them feel bad. I don't wish evil on anyone, but it's good to do good to others. Even if it is $10measly dollars. #checkyourself 3min

xiaxue For those of you who nominated me for the ice bucket challenge, I've already done it! Together with @shiggashay, our clicknetwork smiley-eyed boss @munkysuperstar, and @don_richmond.
The video is up on http://clicknetwork.tv or click on the bio link at @clicknetwork!

Please also download the clicknetwork app (free, iPhone and android) so you can keep up with all the new videos!

Ps: I understand that people have started to call the ice bucket challenge slacktivism, attention seeking etc. I guess I have to agree that "good causes" going viral often cause a bad taste in the mouth. Before I knew of this challenge, I didn't know what ALS was. Afterwards, I knew a little. But a week from now, it won't be in my thoughts again because let's face it, *touch wood* I don't know anybody who has it.
I have to agree that simply because one dumps iced water on themselves, 99% because it is the trending thing to do and 1% because they give a slight shit about ALS, that doesn't give them the right to act like they are all noble and charitable. It's disgusting.

So here's my honest admission: I did this only because my friends asked me to. It seemed kinda fun. I didn't think too much into the deeper meaning of it, and I kinda regret doing it.

I didn't do it because I'm noble, or kind, or because it's "for a good cause". I sure as hell am not gonna ask anyone to donate because I didn't donate myself. Was typing an explanation for it when I stopped; I didn't owe anyone an explanation. I didn't donate the same reason I don't donate to all the thousands of other obscure diseases out there who probably need it. Because they are all equally irrelevant to me.
And nobody has the rights to tell others what to do with their money.

Regardless, I'm happy for ALS that this campaign has successfully gotten money and public knowledge for the disease.

I nominate nobody, because it's fucking annoying to be nominated. You have to either donate, get drenched, or be accused of being heartless? That's dumb.

Ps: maybe I'll nominate Dash coz I feel like dumping water on him. Not iced water, just water. He actually loves it. Lol

  •   arayavonsunshine Perfectly said @xiaxue. I read your last post before seeing this one and thought to myself you seem a little heartless but after reading this post I think why the fuck do you have to explain yourself to anyone. Donate, don't donate. Do the challenge, don't do the challenge. No one has the right to tell you that you lack empathy. I'm so on board with you. It's not as though we don't care about the thousands of sufferers of the many diseases out there it's just that they don't have a direct impact on our lives and like you I'll forget about the challenge in a week or so. It doesn't make any of us bad or uncaring. I'm sure if you had someone close to you suffering from ALS you would think differently. Your honesty is refreshing. 1h
  •   arayavonsunshine PS - I don't think you're heartless 1h
  •   peijiun Is this a joke? 1h
  •   nonnahs22 @chooseyapoison she's not saying it's dumb to donate. She is saying that being forced to do those two options otherwise you are heartless is dumb. 59min
  •   yangderful being true about your mindset is a good thing sis @xiaxue :) somehow I think you alrdy contribute enough for this event by joining it. Isn't it? its not like you must really spend some money to get into the meaning of "donating". I think u have ur own reason for not giving the donation *this time*. cummon guys, let her do what she thinks is best right now. remember that we should never judge anybody. cheersss 59min
  •   kris2chan Wow she said everything I was thinking~ 42min
  •   glaubelle Sometimes when you give an honest post on what you think, I liked the photo more for the caption than what is in the picture 😗 I totally agree with you on this! 3min
  •   articfartic I get why there are so many differing views here. The fact that it shows you couldn't give a crap about others is clearly stated here and apparently you stand by this statement very strongly. Those that cursed your family are definitely stupid but I don't get why you're so pissed at the people that do not agree with you. Everyone's entitles to their opinion. I get that you'd rather settle your own personal problems rather then helping others. You say that everyone does it. True. But I think it's a question of compassion. If you don't have it, you don't. You don't have to say that "don't like and say you'd give up your internet" that's stupid. If you had someone dying and they needed a blood transfusion. There's no one in your family with the same blood type as that someone and all you can rely on is the public. What if everyone had the same belief? Think about being kind and being empathetic. You CAN CHOOSE to make a difference. You CAN CHOOSE to help your family AND the people around you. If such a simple ice bucket challenge can help in raising funds a little, why is it wrong? Ok.. Some of them are seeking attention? SO WHAT. They're not killing anyone. I get that you're a honest blogger but this is just not the best kind. Don't get upset with the response because sometimes such things can strike a nerve even if we don't do much to help charities at least respecting them will be cool. I hope someone reads this and understand that it's not always about you and your family. The bigger picture is way more important 5s

xiaxue Loving my SkinnyMint tea!
The morning boost is supposed to make you less bloated, increase alertness, lessen cravings and snackings, and have anti anxiety properties!
I don't really have bloatedness or a lot of anxiety but after drinking it I do feel an appetite decrease and a lot more alert! I like to drink it in the middle of the day (even though it's a morning boost supposedly), when I feel like I need that mid afternoon nap. Gives me an extra burst of energy to run after Dash!
Get your SkinnyMint by clicking on the bio at @SkinnyMintCom ! Or here http://skinnymint.com and it's FREE DELIVERY - WORLDWIDE
