For those who are following me since a long time, you know that i wear a waist trainer.. If you didn’t now ya know. LOL. The purpose? it helps to keep my back straight preventing to injure myself during my workout, increasing my posture as well. It really helps specially when you have shoulders reverse forward too. The other good thing is that stimulate your perspiration during any activities like myself right now wearing it just errant home as im getting ready to go to the gym. Also, wearing it force myself to contract my belly button consciously as well. i have no pb to workout or do cardio with it.. I can breath normal too, at first yes, it feels like you are hugged very tight haha but after couple use it streches and it feels just like a belt. There are simple to use or wash, and it’s worth every penny, i lost inches after couple weeks of use, went to 34 which is a medium to a 32 and now i wear a 30 (1st hook). At first i was sceptical as you are, but it works and i love it. i will stil continue to wear it because its really give you a good push when u are dieting and exercising - there is not magic tools or pills, to will make achieve your goals « just like that ».... wwwlindadurbessoncom Excited to guiltlessly devour this protein angelfood cake with blueberries & raspberries post workout TO MAKE THIS FLAWLESSNESS Preheat your oven to 350. Grease a glass Pyrex or brownie or cake pan. Combine dry ingredients:
1 scoop @nutrabolics strawberries & cream protein
3/4 cup almond meal
2 tbsps coconut flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 packets of stevia .
Blend wet ingredients:
4 egg whites .
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 banana
Add wet mixture into dry & gently combine. Add blueberries & raspberries.
Pour into dish & bake for 30-35 minutes.

wwwlindadurbessoncom 10 years difference.... I was 136lbs. I'm 5'5. I was eating so little with barely no carbs, not much fat and doing 7h fitness class and cardio - all together per day. I was feeling dizzy most of the time. And I thought it was the right thing to burn fat and build muscles. I'm going to tell you something - i am endomorph - which mean that I have a slow metabolism, that can store fat very easy. After testing all kind of strict diet I felt into hypothyroidism. At that time I was just started fitness and didn't know what to do. I was younger and as a young trainer I wanted to test all diet possible before share my knowledge with my future clients. I learnt what match for my body after years.... After readying... After asking... And observing my body! The right pic (now) I'm 155lbs, and I eat 6meals a day with carbs, protein and healthy fats. This is the result of all those years the bad as the good. I'm not trying to say "do like me" because I did wrong. But be patient and ask to people that know. There is a big difference between being fit verses being fit and healthy. #Nevergiveup #Stronghasbeenthenewsexy

wwwlindadurbessoncom Beginner step to perform the dragon flag. A move invented by the one and only Master in martial arts: Bruce Lee. It's an intense and tough core exercise to perform including a lot a control and stabilization of the body. The key is to work it slowly. Lie on a decline or flat bench and grab the edge of it behind your head with your both hands. .
.
1. Keep your body tight and straight as much as possible. Slowly tuck your legs together keep your knees close to your elbows. .
.
2. When you master this several seconds, do the same and align your hips and knees, use a slow negative motion - about 6 sec - to lower your legs to the bench. This is what i am doing on the photo above .
.
3. Then start to straighten one leg at the time, raising you hips and feet in the air. .
.
4. later on, train to straight your both legs at the same time. You will be able soon to perform the dragon flag to a 45 degree angle with a rest/pause where it will challenge and tickle your stabilizing muscles a bit more. I know how to do this In theory and I'm not there yet but I will... We say practice make it perfect and well stronger right? If you are interested of me posting my progress

wwwlindadurbessoncom Years ago, I gradually learned that you can’t be truly committed to any goal if you have a weak mind. To combat this, I wrote two simple questions on two different post-it notes and stuck one on my bathroom mirror and the other one in my bedroom:

1. How many workouts have you missed because your mind, not your body, told you that you were too tired?

2. How many workout reps have you skipped because your mind, not your body, said, “Nine reps is enough. Don’t worry about the tenth”? To this day, the answer to both questions is probably thousands for most people, including myself. Weakness of the mind is a real dream killer, and the only way to fix this weakness in daily practice.

Far too often we think that mental strength is all about how we respond to extreme circumstances. How did he bounce back after his business partner betrayed him and bankrupt their company? Can she keep her life together even after suffering from a major, debilitating physical injury?

There’s no doubt that extreme circumstances test our bravery, determination and mental strength, but what about common, daily circumstances?

Just like every muscle in the body, the mind needs to be exercised to gain strength. It needs to be worked consistently to grow and develop over time. If you haven’t pushed yourself in thousands of little ways over time, of course you’ll crumble on the one day that things get really challenging. Choose to get to the gym when it would be easier to sleep in. Choose to do the tenth rep when it would be easier to quit at nine. Choose to create something special when it would be easier to consume something mediocre. Choose to raise your hand and ask that extra question when it would be easier to stay silent. Prove to yourself, in a thousand little ways, that you have the guts to get in the ring and wrestle with life. When things get difficult for most people, they find something easier to do. When things get difficult for mentally strong people, they find a way to stay on track. 🏼🏼TAG A FRIEND YOU ARE NOT ALONE !!
