  •   misstovah Like my idea of heaven. 4d
  •   yarntwister Wonderful! 4d
  •   cakeyshakes Haha! Brilliant. She'll always have something good to visit no matter where she travels :) what a great trip! Where's next? 2d
  •   wisekim We feel that we are training her well in the art of weird travel @cakeyshakes . Off to Helsinki in Wednesday for a week, then back to London for a week, then home . 2d
  •   cakeyshakes Sounds great (aside from the home bit!). If you want to get some sea air when back in Blighty its an hour on the train to Brighton - eclectic town and great for a visit (I'm biased as it's my home town!)... Lemme know if you are inclined - Can give you the low down ;) 2d
  •   wisekim thanks @cakeyshakes , alas no Brighton on this trip, but it is on our list for our next trip to UK... We try and get back every 4-5 years (my partner is originally from England and needs a dose of 'the motherland'!). We're super keen for Brighton and plan to do some Nick Cave stalking when we do get there, hehehe! So, You've got a few years to compile an excellent list of weird tourism items for us. And yeah, not so excited about the home thing... 2d
  •   cakeyshakes That should give me time to get an itinerary sorted ;) i remember now we talked of this before - you are almost guaranteed to bump into Nick Cave - my friend played strings on his recent album in fact! #onedegreeofnickcave ;) happy travels x 2d
  •   wisekim Swoon! @cakeyshakes ! Repressing stalkerish tendencies as I type... 2d

wisekim Treat for self. 5 little #balticamber beads. Sweet. #Baltic #amber #latvia #riga #beads #kkgabeurope @rubyant 5d
  •   misstovah Gorgeous! 4d
  •   rubyant Very nice treat!! You are so close to Lt I can't handle it! 4d
  •   rubyant Have you been or seen any of the countryside? Would love to see pics of areas out of town if you take any. 4d
  •   wisekim Haven't done countryside @rubyant ... Had a week in each country and didn't want to move around too much with the kids. it's a bit of a shift for us, we usually spend a few weeks in a country and do a main city and then a couple of smaller places to try and get a better feel for the place. We'll get back to that kind of travel when kids are bigger. 3d
  •   rubyant No probs I understand it would be hard enough getting around as it, I'd love to see those outer areas where my Grandmother's town/village is, she talks about the forests there. Such an incredible trip you are on just enjoy every bit!! 2d
  •   wisekim We drove through loads of forests on the way from Riga to here, they are really impressive and so different to our 'bush'. I even saw a deer! @rubyant . We are really regretting not doing Lithuania, but plan to do a real Eastern Europe trip in the future (Kate and I spent 3 months travelling overland from Poland to Turkey many years ago and loved every minute of it ), we can't wait to come back and do it again with a few different stops along the way. you should get yourself over here! 2d
  •   rubyant Wow spotting a deer! I can't believe you didn't include it!! I once had a long term boyfriend who was Polish and my father has travelled to Turkey said it was incredible. Ha another time, I am hanging out to go there when we could afford to so I just live vicariously through the people I follow on IG who live there! By the way what are you enjoying eating, much traditional food? 2d
  •   wisekim We're really travelling on the cheap @rubyant , (as cheap as we can with kidlets!), so haven't eaten out much... Only the elk soup restaurant really! but we are enjoying cooking some local dishes. We had the meat dumplings (pierogie?), with sour cream (which is amazingly good here and so different to the stuff at home), with loads of dill and caviar!! We're also eating our body weight in smoked salmon and liverwurst and sausage. Oh and there are these amazing little pastry pies filled with delicious things, chicken and mushroom, carrot, cherry.... Sooooo good! You have to come! Just put it on credit (we are!!), life is short! And Poland is awesome, really good pickles! 2d

  •   wisekim Thanks Linda! I'm sure you could do it in a pinch! How is everyone? Is Marc all mended? Any news about the job? Xx @sonnenschein80 5d
  •   wisekim And yes, Abel complained about being shoved in a bag, but it was easier that way... 5d

  •   misstovah I can't decide if this is comical or terrifying 5d
  •   wisekim The whole museum was like that @misstovah ! My personal fave was the room full of plaster casts of deformed people. Mostly just faces, but a good sizes crate of random body parts. 5d
