whollykao Contrasting green grass...it's what happens when you leave a trash can cover on the ground too long. Although...it would be pretty neat visually, to have a whole patch of circles like this spanning your entire yard. 2d

whollykao the sweets table. Jeff told me I had to keep things relatively simple, so I just made the banner here. the rest was just pieces from my craft fair booth display 6d

whollykao This guy sat there for a good 20 minutes eating sprinkles and birthday cake off the floor. He didn't try to rip his hat off either. It's the longest he's paid attention to anything! 6d

whollykao We celebrated the belliot's birthday over the weekend and had so much fun. We're thankful for all the love our families and friends have showered on him (and us!) this past year, and glad we could celebrate together. Yee haw! 6d

whollykao I've been nostalgic these past few days, remembering how a year ago today our little belliot was born. it's been a whirlwind of a year, but I'm so happy to have this little guy. 2w

whollykao from Carlos Bakery. it looked pretty, and tasted ok. the strawberry glaze is what makes it taste good (otherwise to me it's kinda plain). also...is there a donut emoji? 2w

whollykao let's see if making yogurt was worth it. just strained my batch and am waiting for it to set in the fridge... 3w
  •   chelsea_dee Wow! 3w
  •   come_on_ilene Go u! I can never get mine to thicken! And then I'm afraid to eat it! 3w
  •   whollykao @come_on_ilene haha how come you're afraid to eat it? and yeah I don't think I strained mine long enough. next time I'm going to strain it for 4 hours in the fridge (I did 1.5 hours this time). one of the recipes I read suggested adding dry milk powder to the milk when scalding it to help thicken things up, so maybe that's worth trying? 3w
  •   come_on_ilene @whollykao- Something about having live cultures that I've been messing with makes me afraid to eat it! Good idea to try milk powder, I have a lot from my momofuku recipes! 3w

whollykao today I made no-bake oatmeal protein balls. also, I'm curious if eating uncooked oatmeal is bad for our body/makes it work too hard in terms of digestion, bc that's basically what these are. anyone know? they taste good though. 3w
  •   princesshungry Depends how much fiber you normally eat on a daily basis. Sometimes eating a lot more fiber with not enough fluids can cause GI issues. 3w
  •   problemlike I put uncooked oatmeal in my daily green smoothie, and I (and my body) love it. I stay full for hours! 3w
  •   katiepace Idk but I do know that sprouted oats are easier to digest and in bulk at whole foods! So that's always my go to. 3w
  •   whollykao @princesshungry @problemlike ok, good to know! and thanks @katiepace for the suggestion about sprouted oats - I had no idea that was an option! 3w

whollykao now that the weather has warmed up, I have to bust out the most effective fruit fly catcher that I know of: vinegar with dish soap + some fruit peels + paper cone in a cup. the vinegar attracts the flies; the dish soap and the cone traps them so they can't get out. I put this up last night and there are already a handful of dead flies 1mon
