wholelarderlove There it hangs, those moments we so desperately try to hold. Futile efforts of human behavior. She was just learning to walk yesterday. I'm sure of it. Now she's asking about the inevitability of aging. 2d

wholelarderlove OK. With fairness in mind, go ahead, tell me a breakfast combination that beats eggs, chorizo, chipotle and jalapeรฑo.
What's that? Sorry, I wasn't listening.

wholelarderlove Like dust in the wind, time passes without us seeing. Busy with duties, responsibilities and chores. Before we have time to take a breath our winter days appear and all we have is reflection. 4d

wholelarderlove Six years ago I found out that my blood pressure was off the charts. It was one of many health issues that become the fire crackers up the proverbial that I needed. I made an effort to find out what was making me unhealthy and it simply ended up being the food I was eating, the booze I was drinking and the smokes I was sucking. For years I've been exploring eating real food and making fairly big changes to my lifestyle. The results are in. As of today I am officially off bloody pressure medication as a result of my lifestyle changes. I'm happy that I've lost some weight and I feel better but most of all I'm really stoked that I can say with confidence that by eating real food (not processed) and doing a little bit of exercise can completely change your health outlook around. And it's all about balance. And that's why I'm eating this Turkish kebab. I've earned it. 5d

wholelarderlove My breakfast's are getting progressively weirder. 5d
  •   rubadubnurture Bone broth is the latest breakfast gig, I like the look of this one, don't need lunch @wholelarderlove 5d
  •   akuseta Yum! I'm living in thailand atm and whilst the food is awesome..... I would totally smash this. Especially the charry, smokey eggplant with cheese. HELL YES. 4d
  •   akuseta PS fish curry for breakfast is the business. One of my faves. 4d
  •   lilli_pilli Omg like in our breakfast! Haha @hayden_whitelaw 4d
  •   happylittlecampers Yum 4d
  •   roseblack @wholelarderlove ha! No such luck here. They are my Achilles of cookery, even with iPhone timer. HOW?!? @bandrea21 thanks for the tip! I usually put them in cold water straight out of the fridge. Do you use room temp or fridge eggs? 4d
  •   bandrea21 @roseblack I think if you use room temperature they're less likely to crack in the water, but I usually take them straight out of the fridge. So either works! 4d
  •   dsdimsim Naaa just yummier ๏ธ 4d

wholelarderlove It's not very often I do this. In fact I think the last beef steak I ate was with @maxwastler and @goodbeerhunting a few years ago at @campwandawega It sure is a real treat to eat a fine piece of cow. Thanks @butcher_k your meat is good. Pared it with some spuds I pulled out of the garden tossed in probably the last basil pesto for this season. Nice way to end the warm growing season. With cow. 5d

wholelarderlove Nice rip off Herald Sun!!! Fuckers. I called the editor up to complain. Apparently they had never heard of me but used this as a title for an article about "Foraging' through the back of the pantry" seems dodgy to me. I've never liked the Herald Sun. 6d
  •   timagg1 Herald scum 5d
  •   themiddlemim Integrity fail 5d
  •   earth_thyme Booh! - dodgy as 5d
  •   qualcosina Whaaaaat? SO wrong. 5d
  •   aeonick What BS man, we all know who's the real deal!! 5d
  •   pfs3000 Herald Scum @wholelarderlove 4d
  •   hannygb :( 4d
  •   rebecca_humm Ugh. Seriously not surprised!! Stopped reading the Herald Sun a LONG time ago in favour of the Age. "Whole Larder Love" is a very unique name, and I seriously doubt they'd have a case for saying they just magically "thought of it". Lazy journalism as usual. Can't believe this rag is still in business. Unfortunately there seems to be a correlation between people mindlessly consuming processed food and mindlessly consuming sound-bite "journalism" like the Herald Sun that posts ANDREW BOLT for god's sake. Hopefully they won't use it again. Apologies for the rant. 4d

  •   almayj The bawk person is having a bad day hahahaha! 6d
  •   wholelarderlove @farmermeg I don't think so. She has a great sense of humor though. 5d
  •   farmermeg Eh, she can go pound sand down a rat hole. People that announce unfollows like they are doing your "customer service department" a favor are the worst. Possibly subhuman. 5d

wholelarderlove Someone somewhere must have written a poem about how beautiful autumn afternoons are. I sure don't have the words. 6d
  •   igiveyoutheverbs Magnificent season isn't it? #crushingonautumn 6d
  •   thedivinefamilytree It's so magical!! 6d
  •   igiveyoutheverbs How about some Keats: SEASON of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; Conspiring with him how to load and bless With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run; To bend with apples the mossโ€™d cottage-trees, And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, And still more, later flowers for the bees, Until they think warm days will never cease, For Summer has oโ€™er-brimmโ€™d their clammy cells. 6d
  •   thistlebrook No words needed when photos are this nicely composed. 6d
  •   aiya_creates Beautiful 6d
  •   littleshopofbobbin It's the crisp morning air, the damp scent of fallen leaves, It's the sun on your shoulders and the gentle fresh breeze, It's the light through the trees; golden, scarlet and yellow, These are the things that make Autumn so mellow! By me happy Autumn!!! 6d
  •   lightdarkroom Reminds me of having apples at the state fair as a kid. There's something about autumn afternoon light - the color the angle - that makes everything possible. 6d
  •   hannygb Truly beautiful! 4d

wholelarderlove So it turns out that wild mushrooms fried in goose fat and served with tender (home raised) braised goose meat, not only stimulates ones tastes buds but extends the experience by activating a sense of purpose and achievement. Under there is home made sourdough that mopped up all the sauce and remaining emotions and feelings and shit. 1w
