Here are my 5 Do's and Don'ts of Video Analysis <1>
️Do video when you are skiing well
️Don't break down & find everything wrong with your skiing when you are skiing well (this will only hurt your progress- groove your skills instead) <2>
️Do video when you are working on new technique
️Don't critic and then try to work on 100 things at once (focus on 1-2 things instead)

️Do video when working with a coach
️Don't video a professional coach when he is coaching (write down his tips instead ) <4>
️Do watch NON-judgmentally & look for the keys that you are working on ️Don't watch slow motion of the finish of the turn (it always looks worse than it really is and the problems are not found here) <5>
️Do watch pros who you would like to emulate
️Don't expect to look like your favorite pro (everyone has their own individual style- be the best YOU)

whitmcclintock SHOULDER WORKOUT with Whit What's your favorite workout?? Shoulders is my favorite workout day! ~~~>This is the shoulder workout I have developed that I find protects my neck, shoulders & upper back from injury when I am skiing.
o Warm up with a band doing 3 sets of internal shoulder rotations & external shoulder rotations SLOW X10 each
then move on to this workout (start with light weight and then slowly progress)
o shoulder press 3 x 10-15
o upright row 3 x 10-15
o lateral raise 3 x 10
o front raise 3 x 10
o bent over row (or lay pull down or seated row) 3x 10-15
o reverse fly (my secret ingredient- please keep back FLAT (no bending) retract shoulder blades & squeeze them together as you lift- stay super light on these) 3x10-12 PS I don't do these exercises all together like this- i videoed all together to fit it in 15 seconds!!
