whimsyantiques Meet 14 year old Erica. A lovely old fashioned teen who sews her own clothes (she made her skirt) , knits, embroiders , cans, and doesn't use a computer or cell phone. She adored the polka dot gloves but bought a tiara instead! 13h

whimsyantiques At a recent estate sale, where the property went on forever, and the secret gardens were of every theme and flora -- I discovered this high above on a hill. Wouldn't this be a nice spot to take in nature and an ocean view?! {Santa Barbara, California} 20h

  •   tinsleybuick Fabulous!! 3d
  •   larranie @kathleenhaynes not just California. I was at a shore in Washington State and my family warned me about the driftwood I was looking at! Yes. He is very creative. 3d
  •   maryengelbreit Amazing and lovely. Gives you hope for humankind. 3d
  •   kathleenhaynes That is really in my interesting. @larranie , we've lived in Washington & Oregon/Pacific Northwest for 20 years and admire how Many have decorated their front yards with collecting drift wood and everything else found from beachcombing. The only warnings we've heard about are the massive logs rolling up and crushing beach goers, called "sneaker waves." With the exception of 3 tourist beaches along the Oregon coast, our beaches are not patroled and are pretty relaxed :) 3d
  •   urbancottagelongbeach Ok so I see it is Ventura, since we are headed udo you have a specific exit, street, landmark for me so I can find this? Thanks! 3d
  •   whimsyantiques @urbancottagelongbeach California Street-- surfers point... But not Rincon. 3d
  •   urbancottagelongbeach Thank you! 3d

whimsyantiques It's all about balance. A homeless man in Ventura, California named Manuel Ciceneros who I had the pleasure of meeting as he was creating these sculptures told me about his recent encounter with the police who gave him a a ticket for $80 for doing these and writing/drawing on some of the rocks. They told him it was graffiti. My heart really went out to Manuel and I tried to brainstorm how he could make a living doing his art. A creative and humble man who spends his time doing art on the beach, not bothering anyone but plenty of people stopping to photograph his installation of 15 or so 6 foot high sculptures. 3d

whimsyantiques What I love about designing at the shops is that I can explore neutral as well as color. {color always takes over at some point for me} what's your style? Do you use color in your home? 3d
