We all love food but when are we truly full? Is it our mind convincing our body? Or vice versa?

It's the classic argument between physical and emotional hunger. Most of the time its our mind telling us we are hungry when our body is already satisfied.
Here are some tips to avoid bingeing and over eating!
◦ Make sure you chew your food & digest your food, eat slowly!
◦ Drink tons of water thirst or low level dehydration can feel like hunger. If you're not drinking enough each day, that dehydration can cause hunger-like feelings that may be triggering you to eat more or more often than you should. Also, drinking right before a meal can calm your hunger and decrease your overall intake at your meal😇

A great way to test your hunger is:
If vegetables were the only option available, would you still eat it? 😛

Some tips on veggies: ☟

Non starchy vegetables are usually green! Starchy veggies include things like beets, carrots, potatoes, yams, turnip.

Tips on carbs! ☟

Complex / low glycemic carbohydrates
This could be a starchy vegetable
Example: Brown rice, Quinoa, sweet potato, oatmeal

Healthy fat tips! ☟

Healthy fats are non processed, pure form of fat that preferably has yet to be heated.
Omega 3s are key for natural healthy fat! Chia, flax, & hemp seeds provide tons and are a great example of healthy fats! #Flex

waistsnatchers Don't let the #superbowl throw you off your fitness game ! Try these wings to and be guilt free !

2 lbs of chicken wings or drumsticks

1 tablespoon of dried oregano

1 tablespoon of dried rosemary

1 tablespoon of ground cumin

1 tablespoon of sea salt (<< please do not use processed table salt! Use sea salt here or Himalayan Pink Salt)

1/2 tablespoon of black pepper

2 tablespoons of dried basil

4 tablespoons of olive oil (<< love this kind!) 2-4 cloves of garlic (minced) Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Rinse your chicken wings (or drumsticks) and pat dry with a paper towel. Place in a big bowl. Next mix together: 1 tablespoon of oregano, 1 tablespoon of rosemary, 1 tablespoon of ground cumin, 1/2 tablespoon of sea salt. Toss the chicken with your spice mix so each piece is well coated. (Tip: I will rub each piece of chicken with the spice mix to make sure it’s on there good)

4 cups frozen strawberries
3 Tablespoons agave nectar or honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or full fat)
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Add the frozen strawberries, agave nectar (or honey), yogurt and lemon juice to the bowl of a food processor. Process until creamy, about 5 minutes.
Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
