  •   ira_korotun Как отель? Он ведь в Калининграде? 3w
  •   vraip @ira_korotun это в Янтарном. мы тут сегодня просто гуляли) 3w
  •   aschectel Is The Province of Kaliningrad still part of Russia? Looks like a nice hotel! 3w
  •   vraip @aschectel yeah, it's Russian territory) 3w
  •   aschectel That is so strange as it is separated from Russia by Lithuania and Belarus. 3w
  •   vraip @aschectel well there's a similar situation with Denmark and Greenland, isn't it? 3w
  •   aschectel A good point. However, the settlement of Greenland by Denmark did not involve the wholesale exile and extermination of its native peoples as in the case of Kaliningrad once it was turned over to the Soviet Union at the Potsdam conference 3w
  •   vraip @aschectel certainly, historically these lands belonged to East Prussia. however, that wasn't Russia, who started the Second World War. since 1947 people from different Russian regions came here and settled down. the majority of buildings in Kaliningrad were set up in the last 70 years. there are not so many things that seem to be German. so I find nothing surprising that in 90s this area didn't separate. we are separated geographically, but we are one thing. 3w
