urbannativegirl Last night I made bolognese for my first time! I used this roast Turkey sausage instead of beef (allergy), and replaced cream with coconut cream (allergy). Oh and the bed of "pasta" is shredded, blanched cabbage. Weird, huh? Well I'm allergic to wheat, rice, corn, quinoa - all the usual pasta suspects. So I'm either using zucchini or (now) cabbage. One day I'll try spaghetti squash ... It turned out quite delicious, despite my adding a *few* to many crushed red peppers. Good thing I like the spice.

  •   mizzy40 Hey you don't even need the cream for the bolognese. I make it with lots of celery and carrots blitzed in the food processor and if you want you can add lentils. Also the other trick is a little red wine and to use fresh tomatoes and blitz them too. 😀 2mon

urbannativegirl Remember when I used to make smoothies on the reg? I stopped for a while (2 years) to regulate blood sugar levels and follow an ancestral paleo diet. I'm now missing spirulina in my life and this seems to be the easiest way to get it back in the mix.
Sugar free powder spirulina intake anyone? Please don't say just with water, I need to work up to that. Baby steps.

This smoothie is delicious though - coconut milk, coconut yogurt, 1/2 banana, chia seeds, maple syrup, and spirulina.
