twotwentyone I find that it's easiest to throw Louie the bear in Owen's crib during non-sleeping hours because he takes up 1/3 of the available floor space the nursery. #owensbrightnursery #OwenAndLouie #BHGHome 12h

twotwentyone Today's blog post is titled "When The Baby Weight Sticks To You Like Glue". I'm sharing things I've done to help with my self-confidence post-baby, including getting eyelash extensions (mine are Xtreme Lashes). LOVE them. If you've considered getting them, do it. 6d

twotwentyone I don't want to take down my instant birthday party decor from last weekend. I printed 4x4" photos of Owen, strung up some bakers twine, and clipped the photos to the twine with mini clothespins. 1w

twotwentyone Our itinerary is slightly different this year. Along with people watching and fried food eating, we need to throw in some livestock viewing for Owen. #IndianaStateFair 1w

twotwentyone This giant teddy bear just leapt into my cart. Coincidently, it's Owen's birthday on Monday. Strange. I'm going to take it as a sign. #OwenAndLouie 2w

twotwentyone A year ago today, on my due date, I was told my chances of having a c-section were greater due to being diagnosed with oligohydramnios (low amniotic fluid) and the likely possibility of having to be induced. Two days later I was admitted to the hospital due to the oligohydramnios and induced. After 24 hours in labor and only progressing to 3 cm, I made the choice to terminate my birth plan, which was concisely 'no c-section', and have a c-section. While I didn't have the birth I was hoping for, I got an amazing gift that I'm eternally grateful for. I learned that it's okay to mourn the birth I couldn't have, but I still have moments where I second guess myself and wonder if I should've attempted to labor longer. Then I remind myself that what's done is done, and I did what I thought was best for my baby. If you ever find yourself in my situation, know that it's okay to not feel complacent when people say "all that matters is a healthy baby in the end". Yes, that's obviously important, but it's also okay to feel somewhat robbed of how you desired to bring your little miracle into the world. 2w
  •   twotwentyone @kkell3380 Exactly. 2w
  •   twotwentyone @jamiet80 Oh you're fine, I was just saying that I have friends who didn't have a strong attachment to how their kids were born, which I took from your POV. And I have friends who are like me that wanted their births to go a certain way so there's a sense of disappointment when we didn't get the experience that we wished and hoped for. 2w
  •   mouseketeermommy @twotwentyone my spinal didn't take... I missed the first cry it's still tough. 2w
  •   3bellybuttons I have been in a similar position and especially with my firstborn I was sad that a natural birth was not how I gave birth to him. especially since it was never even an issue to give birth in any other way than naturally. my little boy showed no intentions to leave his comfy home and we had to finally go and I was induced to start the natural birth. his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he held on to it with his little hand as well with every contraction. hence the c-section. with my twins it was another story. I expected a c-section. still I would have Liked a natural birth for all of us. and yes, at the end I have wonderful kids all went well. that is what is truly important. it really is. 1d

  •   taylormadecreates Ok so I get fake eyelashes every 4 weeks and it takes about 45mins and I listen to pandora and tonight I remembered this photo and was like I think Chelsea has a podcast?! And sure enough u entertained me for my eyelash sesh!! New tradition!! Loved it! 🏻 2w
  •   twotwentyone @taylormadecreates Woot! I get lashes too! But I go in for fills every 2 weeks. I either chat with my girl or sleep. 2w
  •   taylormadecreates I usually chat too! I'm a weird person that can last 4 weeks! 2w
  •   twotwentyone @taylormadecreates I kinda hate you. 2w
  •   taylormadecreates I know right?! Everyone does haha! Jk... But everyone with lashes does ;) my hair grows suuuuper slow, like I don't like have to shave my legs every 3 weeks so because of that they don't fall out easily! She has a ton of lash clients and only 3 of us can pull off 4 weeks! Ps I listened to ur q&a and think we would be friends 2w
  •   twotwentyone @taylormadecreates I'm jealous! My hair grows so freaking fast since being pregnant. And I never experienced my hair falling out like a lot of PP women. I really should get my hair touched up every 4-6 weeks buuuut I don't. Hah! What brand of lashes do you get? I already thought that we were friends. ... 2w
  •   taylormadecreates hahaha well duh we are friends but I mean like if we lived close we would hang out... In your garage with ur beer fridge! Uhhhh my hair is still falling out and my baby is 14 mos old haha! I do novalash... I only cut my hair 2-3x a year 2w
  •   twotwentyone @taylormadecreates Oh yeah, we'd definitely hang out in my garage with the beer fridge. That's nuts-- I'm sorry. I usually do highlights & cut every 2 months. My head is my most expensive body part. I do Xtreme lashes. They're based in your state! 2w
