travelingtriplets Good morning from Bali! This may not be the most exciting photo, but I had to share this Bali secret before I gobbled it up. This is a chocolate croissant with bamboo charcoal in the dough. YES the actual charcoal from burning bamboo. You guys, it's SO GOOD! Adds a little crunch of yumminess and really just tastes like delicious chocolate haha. For those of you who have visited Indonesia, have you tried these?! This was our fav bakery in Tabanan. We went here every morning three days in a row hehe. 1d

travelingtriplets Tanah Lot, "Land in the Sea". A beautiful temple (see at the top) on a rock shaped by the ocean tide. Super rad! We got there at low tide just before sunset You're not allowed to go to the top but you can participate in the holy water ritual and walk up the stairs a bit. It was beautiful! 3d

travelingtriplets If you're super into sea glass like me, you will LOVE this place! It's a jewelry designer's heaven I could have spent hours here, but we just made it a pit stop on our way home from Oregon to California. Its called Glass Beach in Fort Bragg, CA.

A quick history. Back in the olden days (hah), locals to this area used to dump all their trash over the cliff sides into the Pacific. This included glass bottles, dishware, ovens, china, cars, furniture you name it. The ocean was basically used as their dump yard. Back then they didn't have the knowledge of conserving and protecting the ocean like we do today, so people didn't realize the damage it was creating. Then in the 60s and 70s a huge clean up was started to correct the damage made in history.
Although the wreckage was devastating, it left beautiful colored sea glass all along the cove and beaches, gaining the name glass beach. It has since become a huge tourist spot and is very picked over leaving primarily brown and frosted white when there once was hues of purple, pink, red, blues and yellows (which we sea glass lovers know are crazy rare). Incredibly beautiful and definitely something you sea glass lovers won't wanna miss! Try to go at low tide
