  •   fbpell How far is El Nido from the airport? Do you have to ride another ferry or something? Went to Puerto Princesa for New Year's...so stunning!!! 2h
  •   travelettes @fbpell You need to get a bus from the terminal at Puerto Princesa - it takes between 5-7 hours depending on the company you choose... Generally the private shuttle buses are faster and offer door-to-door service. We went with Lexus and had no problems 2h
  •   tarryn__ What tips and hints do u have for the phillipines @travelettes ? Going there in a few months! 2h
  •   fbpell Oh thank you so much for that great trip! Enjoy the rest of your stay in the Philippines. The pictures are beautiful :) 2h

travelettes Strolling around El Nido - love discovering new bars and places to eat. The Art Cafe is great for eats; Mezzanine has beautiful cocktails; and Alofa's drinks are STRONG. #postedbyalex #elnido #exploremore 17h

travelettes A room with a view! El Nido is full of budget accommodation, many of which offer rooftop breakfasts where you can look out on the bay or up at the towering cliffs. #postedbyalex #nofilter #elnido 22h

travelettes A boat tour in El Nido is a must - secret lagoons, snorkeling spots, hidden beaches... This is the stunning beach at Helicopter Island. But if you want to avoid the usual tourist route, hire a private boat to take you to alternative snorkeling and beauty spots. Bacuit Bay is full of them! #postedbyalex #elnido 2d

travelettes They put on a good BBQ in the Philippines! Grilled tofu and aubergine; lemon infused chicken; and a couple of fresh spring rolls on the side. Just roll me home. #postedbyalex #foodies #foodporn #asianfood 2d

travelettes Is this the best beach in Palawan?? Las Cabanas, also known as Marimegmeg, is a short trike ride from El Nido town - a crescent of creamy sand, lined with palms and just one beach bar perched in the centre. Paradise found! #postedbyalex #palawan 3d

travelettes View from the hill between Corong-Corong and El Nido. I had to ask the trike driver to stop for a better look! Where in the world did you last stop and stare at some beauty? #postedbyalex #elnido 3d

travelettes Good morning from El Nido town beach! No good for swimming but it's charm is that it's just a boat ride away from Bacuit Bay's hidden beaches, secret lagoons and snorkeling spots - all amongst those limestone cliffs in the distance... #postedbyalex #elnido #exploremore #latergram 3d

travelettes Peeping out at El Nido town beach - love the kitschy chequered tables right in the sand. El Nido's a backpacker town with seafood bbqs on the beach, lots of happy hour drinks, a fantastic reggae bar and opportunities to arrange boat trips. Palawan's limestone cliffs are said to rival Halong Bay without the same level of tourism. That won't last for long! #postedbyalex #palawan #elnido 4d

travelettes On the move - farewell to Boracay and hello to Palawan! I've heard El Nido's the place to be on this island - this snap is from a rest stop on the 6 hour shuttle bus ride from Puerto Princesa. How tempting does that sea look? #postedbyalex (@alexsaint13) #exploremore #palawan 4d

travelettes A morning stroll along Station 1 in Boracay... Top tip: Don't stop walking at the cliffs! There's a path that sneaks round. Look for the little stone doorway to the gorgeous 'Spider's House' for eats, drinks and a blissful sea view. You won't want to leave! #postedbyalex #boracay #latergram #nofilter 5d

travelettes A seafood supper at D'talipappa is a Boracay must. This fish market is near D'mall - choose your fresh off the boat dinner and haggle for a good price! Then take it to one of the various cooking stations where you can take a seat, grab a drink and choose how you want your meal prepared. A fun experience and a bargain too! #postedbyalex #boracay #wanderlust #exploremore 6d

travelettes Exploring Bulabog beach on the other side of Boracay... White Beach is a paradise made for relaxing but the winds at Bulabog mean kite surfing rules here. Or if that sounds like too much hard work, you can just sit with a beer (like me) and watch the show! #postedbyalex #kitesurfing #boracay #kiteboarding 6d

travelettes Nowhere does a mango shake like the Philippines. Yum! Mangoes are one of my desert island foods for sure. Along with sushi and probably froyo - I can have a freezer right?? #postedbyalex #breakfast #thephilippines 6d

travelettes Lounging under shady palm trees at Station 3 on White Beach = the perfect way to spend the afternoon on Boracay. Some people feel re-energised by the mountains or the city... I think the beach and the sound of the sea is my happy place How about you? #postedbyalex #silhouette #boracay 7d
