theurbanfarmer Thai Peanut Quinoa Salad for the housewarming party. And if you look close enough - you can see all of the four snow peas I harvested from our garden. Gonna have to work on improving yields in the seasons to come. #vegan #vegetarian 10h

theurbanfarmer Don't worry little #pear tree ... I gotchu! With high temps predicted (yet again) for this week, I invested in some shade cover for her, as her leaves got some pretty bad sunburn the last round of hotness that we had. 🍐 4d

theurbanfarmer Looking for a bonkers ground cover for your yard? Might I suggest Atlantic Giant Pumpkin. All the vines you see on the right are from one plant. All from one teeny tiny seed. And I have like 6 or 7 of these throughout the yard. 1w
  •   lakemacpatchlife If you put wire/mesh along your fence line you can train them to grow along there too. Shaves heaps of space and also keep the fruit off the ground a away from pest and disease on the ground. 1w
  •   dana_mmmm I have these all over my front yard..neighbors think we are nuts haha 1w
  •   onauntmildredsporch Like @lakemacpatchlife I train all of my gourds to climb so I save tons of space!! 1w
  •   darlenemam I cannot wait to see the fruit! 1w
  •   wyldstylaz Salute fam! Check us out when u get a chance! 1w
  •   mylung Is that a pomegranate tree in the background. 1w
  •   theurbanfarmer @mylung Sure is! Currently fighting the bugs off (organically & naturally, of course) to ensure we'll have a harvest come fall. 1w

theurbanfarmer Five weeks ago I shared the photo on the left - of a #carmello tomato plant that I accidentally snapped while trench transplanting six weeks ago. I placed the snapped pieces in the ground anyway, just to see if they'd take off despite my gardening rookie blunder.
The photo on the right is from tonight. Um, it's now the biggest and baddest tomato plant in my entire garden. It's far outgrown its 36" tomato cage and just started blooming this week. Can't wait to see and taste the results!

The only pillow she insists on lying her giant head on (and then looks at us like this when we tell her "off")? The @maxwell_dickson.

theurbanfarmer Tonight's harvest. Two whole #BlueCoco pole beans. At least they're producing ... and they're gorgeous! Now to come up with a recipe that uses only two pole beans. 2w

theurbanfarmer Looks like we should end up having some homegrown #heirloom, #organic, #nongmo corn just in time for Labor Day!
PS - that's a 10ft ladder beside the stalks.

theurbanfarmer One more #latergram of @ariel123 and I at Maya & Greg's #henna party this past weekend. I got to dress in a traditional #Moroccan outfit for part of the ceremony and that. was. so. rad! (And so HOT - still 90Β°F at like midnight - hence the greasy sweat face). 2w
