thepioneerwoman For dessert on the show, the most amazing topping for vanilla ice cream: simple syrup poured over chopped peaches! Spoon over ice cream and top with basil. To die for! 18h

thepioneerwoman Making this chicken on the show now! So easy to make, and so tender and luscious. A Labor Day must! Here's the recipe: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2014/06/oven-bbq-chicken/ 18h
  •   ajaxx9999 I was yelling at the tv the whole time. It looked so good, it made me mad I wasn't there haha 10h
  •   _bethw_ This didn't work for me:/ 10h
  •   debbiegreene27 @ben2dag Let's make this! 9h
  •   mcrl3313 I've been making this recipe all summer, it's a winner with thighs as well as breasts. Depending on the # of pieces you cook you may have to broil the top for the final 10 minutes to get the perfect finish - it just depends. I make mine ahead and then reheat when ready to serve so I have time to make my sides, everyone loves this recipe! 8h
  •   1ashley56 Loved the show. Can't wait to try this recipe! 7h
  •   thegardenofeatin making this for dinner tomorrow ! 5h
  •   alma3133 I made it and the pasta salad everyone loved it 3h

thepioneerwoman Haha---I have no idea what Hy and I are talking about here, but it looks intense. In other news, my hair is extremely red in this episode. But the ice cream at the end---oh dear, it's good. Show is starting now---hope you enjoy, friends! 18h

thepioneerwoman Here's the pot roast I made yesterday, all ready to deliver to the new parents today. I refrigerated the carrots/onions, the roast, and the cooking juices in separate containers overnight. Today I put the roast and veggies into a container, skimmed the fat off the top of the liquid, then poured it over the meat and veggie. All ready to reheat in the oven! (Also taking mashed potatoes to go with it. Amen.) 3d

thepioneerwoman I always remembered a little framed quote my friend Jenn's parents had in one of their bathrooms when we were growing up, and this week I wrote it on the chalkboard wall of our downstairs bathroom. Obviously, my boys got a big kick out of it. It also provided an opportunity for a quick lesson in the difference spelling and punctuation can make in a sentence! Ha. 3d

  •   browncoatgirl69 It really is the "secret" to any great pot roast!! 3d
  •   jenkjensen I absolutely love your pot roast. Made it many times. Do you happen to know I I can place my Dutch oven on a flat glass top oven ? 3d
  •   kayimjay @jenkjensen i do that with mine all the time - it's a martha stewart knock off like of le creuset. I think as long as it has a {colorful} enamel coating it shouldn't scratch the surface 3d
  •   jenkjensen Thank you @kayimjay I've always been nervous to try. Will give it a go ;) 3d
  •   shawnastites Th his is the meal the will be served at my gfuneral 3d
  •   veltag Yes, you can use your stockpot on the stove top. At least my Paula Deen pot works great. It makes sense that if it withstands scraping with a razor blade, then it's practically impossible to scratch. But it could be possible, I suppose. 2d
