thehouseofpip WHY ARE THREE IN PLASTIC? 2d
  •   hettykate don't eat those ones. 2d
  •   michlomby They're specially wrapped for Baby-Slug 2d
  •   lellyyoung I think you should eat those ones first 2d
  •   thehouseofpip @hettykate @michlomby @lellyyoung all good points. I am fearfully eating around the plastic, leaving one layer of wafer sticks as buffer. @techurbanist thinks it's actually a design feature where you pull the plastic up initially to release the wafers as they are very tightly packed. Like an inverse-shoehorn. My fear instinct says no. 2d
  •   ktk35 Weird - I'm a connoisseur of those biscuits @thehouseofpip and never seen that before! STEP BACK FROM THE BISCUITS!!! 2d
  •   thehouseofpip @ktk35 as a fellow connoisseur, you will know how incredibly hard it is to step back from these tasty delights... 2d
  •   jessypi I think it's so u don't crush them getting them out. Or maybe those ones in the middle have special powers? 1d

thehouseofpip High levels of happiness: Baby Slug is alive! Hadn't seen Baby Slug since discovering Slug-Slug's body. Was slug-concerned. Anyway, turns out that Baby Slug was hanging out in the sink, in the moist-zone. Only found out when @techurbanist nearly washed it away. Drama/trauma ensued: @techurbanist washed it off; we thought it was dead and then it expelled all this stuff out of it's breathing hole. It started eating lettuce and hasn't stopped since. LOOK AT HOW MUCH LETTUCE BABY SLUG'S HAS EATEN. 4d

thehouseofpip Commonwealth Bank: general human rules still apply to university campus branches. No human, ever, will want to 'hang' in a bank any longer than they have to, branded beanbags or no. 1w

thehouseofpip RIP Slug. Having the babies took it out of you. It was a joy being able to observe you. You were like an alien in many ways. You had routines and preferences and kept returning to your original terrarium home to hang out, even though you had outgrown it. Here is the list of facts about you that I was keeping so that I could tell one interesting slug fact every time I posted a picture of you, to educate the haters. I will make sure slug baby (babies? how many eggs did you lay exactly?) has fresh lettuce. I hope it turns out as good its mum/dad. 2w

thehouseofpip For scale. Slug Baby on left, resident Kitchen Slug on right. Black hole is where they live, although I haven't seen both of them together yet. WHAT NOW? If I thought it was hard googling 'what to feed your slug' (answer: don't feed em; kill em) it's near impossible to find 'caring for baby slugs' 3w
  •   rosiered Oh @emsexton you're on our team too! Yay! 3w
  •   thehouseofpip @lellyyoung surely you understand? 3w
  •   michlomby You have a new baby!!! How exciting. I believe you've been doing the right thing with Slug 1 so continue with Baby slug. 3w
  •   thehouseofpip I'm so excited about the NextGen Slug @michlomby although I hold grave fears for Slug 1 - haven't seen it for a couple of weeks now and worry that the circle of life both gives and takes... 3w
  •   michlomby What is Skug lifespan? Maybe he/she/it is having a early hibernation of sorts.... Any good they love that will entice... I'm thinking anything you live in the garden such as your roses or strawberries ;-) 3w
  •   lellyyoung A baby slug!!!!! So cute. So tiny. Let's meet up to talk about kitchen slug soon x 3w
  •   jessypi Does Ur slug have a partner? Or do they self propagate? 3w

thehouseofpip While it is A big sausage, I doubt it is The Big Sausage. What makes a big a 'Big'? (Apologies non-Aussies for the opaque line of questioning) 1mon
  •   loritru Who is enticed to make a beeline for their "fresh meats" by the big sausage? Did you sample @thehouseofpip? Minds me of one of those twig insects you try to pick off your clothing and it moves and scares the grimers out of you. ( a big one of those) 1mon
