Normal thegatherian
thegatherian When do we let this fallacy fall? The one that says we are not worthy. When do we no longer let it be our armor? When do we break free of the shadow cast of the past? How do we let it go? When do we allow ourselves to give up that ghost, that fight against ourselves, that hatred of ourselves, so that we may live? So that we may be seen for all the good we inherently are? For all the love we deserve? To give and receive. When will we learn the lesson of forgiveness? And love? Of our tender selves, our strong selves? When will we (learn to) allow ourselves to be free? 10mon

thegatherian But we are broken and bandaged and broken again. Suffering. Damaged goods. It becomes all we are, for we believe it is all that has ever been seen of us. And this perception becomes our own. This is fused into our minds, our makeup. Malignant, it spreads, solidifies. Shapes us. Becomes our identity. And we carry that hurt, that shame, that burden that is not all our own. We take the past with us. Let it rule. And our kingdoms become corners. Corners of exile, haunts of haunts. Who put us here? Who keeps us? And because we believe we are not worthy, and perhaps never were, we take on our perpetuators' charge, fight their fight. Become our own captors, our own prisoners. Our own saboteurs, our own bullies. To ourselves, to each other, who also share this burden. We become our own worst enemy... 10mon

thegatherian Have we not learned? Have we not been here before? Long enough? How much punishment can one endure? Us. Marginalized, ostracized, ridiculed. The oppressed. The violated. The forgotten. Made to believe this is what we deserve. Nothing more. For we are not worthy. We grow to believe this. So our every decision is dictated, every action fueled by this belief, this fallacy. And so we continue the hurting, the punishing of our own selves. We continue this legacy. Keep making the same mistakes, end up in the same place. A cyclic condemning of ourselves. Without mercy. And so the lesson becomes not learning or believing the fallacy, but unlearning it. Knowing better. 10mon
