talisa3636 Happy Charter Day! I am proud to be a product of such a wonderful institution. A university that has a rich legacy that continues to pave the way for our global community. Howard U encouraged me to fight for what I believe in, explore my academic passions and draw closer to my God. For that, I thank you Howard University!! 2d

talisa3636 Part one of #jollof rice prep. I've never had it before but I neeeded to try it. Foodie experiments!!! Any tips? 1mon
  •   hollehmarie Ooh! Can't wait to see the result! I'm supposed to be trying it out next month. 1mon
  •   angelkayce I'll be your taste tester. The spicier the better. 1mon
  •   talisa3636 @angelkayce thanks I used one habanero pepper which didn't add any kick to the jollof. Next time I'll find scotch bonnet or use two habaneros. 1mon
  •   talisa3636 @hollehmarie it turned out great!!!!!!! I would start with two hot pepper to get the spicy kick 1mon

talisa3636 Curlformer curls. Mild frizz. Animal print robe 2mon
  •   traceface2010 I need to invest in new ones that are longer #longhairisexpensive lol 2mon
  •   talisa3636 @traceface2010 I snagged an extra pack on black Friday at Sally beauty. I heard that if you tug the end on the regular, your hair gets in the loops! 2mon
  •   talisa3636 @jesstizzle what if you do it and make it look fun! Then she might hehe 2mon
  •   geekycurly My five year old son likes to put the curlformers onto the rod for me. @jesstizzle 2mon
  •   artforeverandaday This is nice! Curl former huh? I need to try 4w
  •   humble_sunshine I need to know, what are the best types of products to use and is it best for 4b/4c hair to do it freshly washed? I had a first try fail and I think J it was because I didn't have enough and was putting too much hair I some, but my hair kept snagging... I guess in reality... let me cut to the chase... I don't know where I went wrong exactly, but I need help! 2w
  •   talisa3636 I love qhemet biologics which is the best for moisture, Camille rose naturals for styling which is at Target (search thr website for locations), good ole castor oil and flaxseed gel from time to time. My favorite leave ins are Giovanni direct leave in and Knot Today by kinky curly and I've used them for years. Just use slippery products and leavein-> moisturizer-> styler in that order on the hair. For curlformers, lightly turn the hair at the root before latching on the hook. It helps make sure no strands are hanging out to get snagged! @humble_sunshine 2w
  •   humble_sunshine Thank you for the tips! I think I need to play around with products. I used a spray leave-in/heat protectant since I was planning to sit under the dryer, then used my Coconut & hibiscus hair smoothie followed with Jane Carter's wrap & roll... now I see I should just stick with my regular leave-in mix, moisturizer & use a gel to style & set... and I tried the turn...I think I turned too much though 2w
