switch209 The first week of the Riverbank Skate Camp has come to an end, and it was the best week of the 5 years I've helped lead the camp so far. The most progressive and fearless group I've been able to teach, and lots of new ground was broke for what was accomplished by kids at the camp. Thank you to @yeahbucky209 for helping with the last day activities, the Riverbank Recreation Department for inviting me back to host this, and big thank you to the kids for without them, this camp wouldn't be around. Click the link in my bio to watch the full video to see and hear from the kids themselves what they learned in just 5 days. 4d

switch209 I've always wondered if one of the kids would step up and try this over the last five years of teaching skate camp, being this wall is the most steep and quickest in the park, and today I had two of them do it. @trav_dawg11 told me that this was a goal of his for the week, and after a few tries, he rolled away from the flat wall like it was nothing. This has been my most progressive group of kids I've helped teach, and tomorrow we'll film the camp video to show what everyone has learned. 6d

switch209 A lot of the kids have been rolling off and trying to Ollie off the ledges, but this ledge scared them the lost because it slopes down. Noel was the first to roll off of it, but despite slam after slam of trying to roll off it, he landed it. Once he did more tried it and eventually landed it as well. All of them are making great progress in such a short time, and am excited to see what they'll continue to accomplish tomorrow. 7d

switch209 Skateboarding 101: Style comes natural, some have it and can make any trick look 100x better than watching the most tech trick be done with cyborg style. Every trick was done as perfectly as they could be, and there were more tricks than pushes @furrycalamari with his opening Modus Operandi @transworldskate line. I truly miss this era in skateboarding 1w
  •   switch209 @besuro id say in the top 10 best lines ever filmed 1w
  •   furrycalamari 🏻 good times🏻 1w
  •   krewzsteezy410 Couldn't agree with you more my dude!!!! If you get the chance check out @Shredlights ... Time to conquer more night spots like @furrycalamari 2d

  •   krewzsteezy410 @switch209 I work with Drew and know how awesome Shredlights is g. It would be sick if you could spread the word or post some content my dude 2d
  •   switch209 @krewzsteezy410 id be happy to man, always down for a good cause 2d
  •   krewzsteezy410 @switch209 Thanks brotha. Right now on kickstarter we have reached 10% of our goal so we have a heavy battle ahead so good homies are crucial for success 2d

switch209 Day 2 at the riverbank skatecamp went better than I expected! The kids ended up playing S.K.A.T.E. for a while with all the things they learned over the last two days, and now most can drop in to the spine quarter pipe, and a few of them are preparing for either conquering ollieing down gaps or rolling into the flatwall by the end of the week! My fastest progressing group of kids I've helped learn to skate so far, hyped to continue it tomorrow. 1w

switch209 First day of skatecamp went really well, a lot of kids from last year came back and picked up where they left off without missing a thing! Travis picked up dropping in without skating since last year, and already wants to get started on learning different stalls. Can't wait to see how well they'll be at the end of the week. 1w
  •   elsenornewyork Good vibes 1w
  •   switch209 @elsenornewyork appreciate it homies! 1w
  •   momica425 @trav_dawg11 so awesome! 1w
  •   tooskinnywhitekid @sweetsteeez We should show this to chance to motivate him to drop in @jams_37 1w
  •   switch209 @tooskinnywhitekid he dropped in on the extension today as well. He wants to roll into the steep flatwall hopefully by Friday 1w
  •   tooskinnywhitekid humbling to help someone conquer their fears and experience progression firsthand. Keep doing what you're doing homie 1w
  •   switch209 @tooskinnywhitekid I appreciate it man! And it's an amazing thing to help them out and show them that they can accomplish what they want to do. The kid in this video, Travis, is actually from Tracy too, he hits up El Pas from time to time and he has no fear of skating at all, he's been one of my favorites to teach since last year 1w
  •   tooskinnywhitekid that's great that he's stuck with it! 1w

switch209 Happy Father's Day to my dad, older brother, brother in law, and all other dads out there. Didn't get to spend father's day with my dad because he was working, but we spent father's day early this past Friday to have all the guys go shooting together for the first time. Thank you for everything you've done to help me be who and where I am today. 1w

switch209 The width of what I was skating on was less than 3ft, the drop in front of me was around 9ft, and the drop behind me was around 15ft. Scariest stationary session I've ever had, and catching this switch heelflip primo only made it scarier. : @yeahbucky209 2w
