suzannegorman Last night on the way to the gym, I did a quick left and worked out in the bookshop instead. Same adrenalin rush - smells so much better. Came home with a few treasures...... 3d

suzannegorman .....addicted to fabulous lighting - I admit it. Bronze perforated metal, brass cuffs.....so distracting, so disarming. Handmade in LA. #designerssecret #canttellyoueverything 5d

suzannegorman A new master ensuite for my clients whose design brief was to incorporate the Squirrels and Doves wallpaper that they love.....the endless variety of client briefs that I have worked with never ceases to delight and astound me. I hope they love it. 6d

suzannegorman The school holidays always seem so long in the middle and then suddenly so short. I've been telling my three teens to get their acts together, think of things to do themselves, go explore Sydney - you don't need me, I'm trying to work here! Catch a bus - I can't drive you everywhere.....blah blah blah. Then yesterday I panicked and realised I'd miss them, so I said, "You have to spend the whole weekend with Dad and me, we'll watch a movie, go to Bills for corn fritters, walk on the beach. Cancel your friends and let's be a family!" Poor kids are probably a bit damaged. - hopefully it will make them more interesting. 1w
  •   postcards_from_home Lol! Juggling different priorities is always so hard. Hope you get to enjoy some time with them this weekend. Xx 1w
  •   gigglesandtonic Can relate. Never a consistent message coming from here either! 😬 1w

suzannegorman Just love to start my day with coffee and time spent searching and researching, surrounded in my bed nest by piles of pillows, books and magazines......looking to other designers, fashion, photography for inspiration from the outside world to jumpstart my day. I move from one medium to the other in a random but not random way, following a train of ideas that generally is linked to something for one of my clients and then jotting notes and little sketches as I go. Here is my favourite from this morning's design hunt, from UK Elle Decoration with image by Christina Kayser Onsgaard. 2w

suzannegorman 20 years today.....a crazy film is running in my head, with memories flicking forward, captured in snapshot and each not staying long enough for me to grab onto properly but.....as these flashes accumulate, telling our mishmash story, I feel a deep resounding happy. #bummeriforgotiwantedtogotoparisfortoday #roosterlove 3w

suzannegorman After a two week holiday, it's time to get my head back into work space, so I really should be heading up to the studio and taking a peek inside. Travel has flooded my mind with inspiration and renewed energy and enthusiasm to complete several of our projects. Howeverrrrr........with Sydney delivering this glorious sunshine, I might just take a few more hours in the garden with a pile of books, mags and my iPad......before opening that studio door. Ilse Crawford's brass cabinet, crafted by Jack Trench is jaw droppingly beautiful (image from Ilse Crawford) and is going down nicely with sunshine on my back and a cup of Thai 'good health herbal black' tea. 🌞 3w

suzannegorman This lotus flower was floating below me earlier this week, at the Rayavadee Spa in Thailand - a place of great beauty and tranquility. The meaning of lotus flower in Buddhism is rising and blooming to enlightenment. It represents a rebirthing which can be a change in beliefs, a renaissance of ideas or a dawn after dark days. Happy Easter peeps 3w

suzannegorman 20 years after we watched the sunset over Phranang Beach on our honeymoon, we find ourselves drawn back here to the very same place. It seems a lifetime ago, our memories are sketchy but the feelings are not. With gratitude I realise how lucky we are to have this chance to deeply reconnect after the craziness that has filled two decades..... the joy of raising our three children, the ups and downs of our changing careers, the sheer volume of mundane tasks completed (in a cycle of tenacious repetition I could never have foreseen), the making of a home....the losses and love are all shared with one man. Happy 20th anniversary Rooster 3w
