styleworthwhile Gluten free brown rice quinoa pasta with roasted carrots and asparagus. Blended 2 tomatoes for sauce and added some basil, oregano, sea salt, raw sugar and some other random spices. This tasted a little bland but never hurts to experiment! Shows how much salt and other ingredients restaurants must add to make their foods taste good!!! 5d

styleworthwhile I'm not usually a fan of Asian veggies.. But I actually willingly cooked them today! I'm recovering from a cold and after filling up on this big bowl of healthy carbs I feel more energized already. Food is the best medicine! In my bowl: sweet potato noodles, bok choi cooked with firm tofu, ginger, garlic and a bit of coconut oil. Topped with some chili flakes. 5d

styleworthwhile I used to see a lot of vegans/raw vegans on social media and never thought I would become one of those people... But guess what happened to me now. My diet and lifestyle have changed drastically in the last couple weeks and I now understand why people thrive on this vegan way of living! So never say never!
My smoothie bowl for breakfast: kale & spinach blended with a handful of berries, a banana and a slice of ginger. Topped with 3 bananas and some buckwheat chia cereal. Fruit isn't gonna make you fat! Or else these vegans would be obese - @essenaoneill @freeleethebananagirl @lonijane @domzthompson @rachelgodwinfitness @nathane_jackson (sharing some of my vegan inspo) ️

styleworthwhile Dinner: roasted carrots & asparagus, lentil stew and a big bowl of buckwheat & yam noodles. After years of learning that carbs are 'bad,' it's taking some time to relearn that eating the right kinds of carbs and starches are actually good for you. Two weeks into this high carb, low fat vegan lifestyle and no fat/weight has been gained! ️ 1w

1) 2 slices flourless sprouted bread, 1 banana, cashew butter, cinnamon on top. A green smoothie with kale, spinach, frozen organic berries & a tiny slice of avocado. (Not photographed)

2) Apple + vega performance protein shake

3) 1/2 package of Trader Joe's organic tempeh, 1/3 cup Truroots sprouted rice & quinoa blend, spinach, kale, bok choi, ginger

4) 1/2 cup Truroots sprouted rice and quinoa blend, 1 cup lentils cooked in low sodium vegetable broth with carrots & sweet potato, spinach, kale

5) 1 cup each of oven roasted sweet potato & carrot slices with tumeric, basil, oregano

styleworthwhile Sharing one of my favorite quotes - "Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel." When we are healthy it feels good! Years back, before I knew what it was like to be strong and energized, I was eating crap every day, hardly active and I didn't think there was anything wrong with my health. I would be tired and had frequent mood swings. However, when I made the decision to eat whole healthy foods and exercise, I had no idea my body could feel so good! You already have all the tools you need to reach your full potential. The choice is up to you. Don't settle, if you're unhappy with your situation, you are powerful enough to change it. Do what you can with what you have and know that you deserve the best! 2w
