  •   brentwooddoc They were an important part of history. Look at my United States of America. The borders of the early states were defined by rivers because of their importance for transportation. The states in the western part of USA are have pretty much regular almost square shapes because they were created after these railroads could be used for transpiration and train tracks don't need to follow water ways. 5d
