stuartd Hainanese chicken rice, using @liawadam's recipe. Almost as good as my Thai stepmum's recipe. Almost. 4d

stuartd Spent a couple of hours losing myself in Toohey Forest this morning. So many hidden gullies and secret paths. It's easy to forget the city is so close. 2w
  •   inlavawithyou Did you see any evidence of witchcraft in there? Last time I went in there I saw wicker and twine symbols in the trees, plus a burnt alter. My blood ran cold. 2w
  •   stuartd No signs of witchcraft that I could see, @inlavawithyou. Although it was a bit eerie on top of Toohey Mountain with the wind whipping through the gum trees. 2w
  •   inlavawithyou Alright, well just be careful out there. 2w

stuartd Kept the spent grains from Friday's homebrewing to use in a sourdough. Turned it into a really dark, malty, delicious loaf that would pair well with soup, blue cheese or good butter. 1mon

stuartd Sommerlads heritage-breed, free range chicken from northern NSW. You know it's farm fresh when it's still got feathers and a wing tag! Roasted this up tonight, spatchcock style. The flavour is quite strong and gamey. Very different to bland supermarket chickens. 1mon

stuartd Buttermilk sourdough. My recent adventures in making cultured butter left me with a lot of buttermilk. This seems to be an especially delicious way to make use of it. 1mon
  •   kellyyyllek Ohh I have buttermilk atm! May look into this! 1mon

stuartd Found this in a box under my mum's house today: a copy of the play I wrote when I was 10. Performed to some critical acclaim, as I recall. 2mon
