squishythings Finished sewing this dress last month. Dunked it yesterday to add some interest. 1mon
  •   gremlinthecat oooh that super cool! Love the pattern, did you draft it yourself or buy one? I can never find a princess seam pattern I like 1mon
  •   squishythings It's from a book - Alabama Studio Style by Natalie Chanin. It's the camisole dress, which you can also make in top or tunic length, and there's a tank variation that has more coverage in the back. I have all three of Chanin's books (am eagerly anticipating the fourth this year), and almost everything I made in 2014 was from one of the patterns. 1mon
  •   squishythings @gremlinthecat TOTALLY forgot the tag there, go me 1mon
  •   gremlinthecat oooh cool, I'll have to check it out! I've pretty exclusively sewn original vintage patterns from the 30's to the 50's for the last 5 years, so I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone. It's awesome when you find something that works so well for you! 1mon
  •   squishythings @gremlinthecat oh yeah the patterns are pretty simple, all cotton jersey, but 100% hand stitched so it takes a bit of time. 1mon
  •   ebbandsew I love the dip dye. @annethrallnash Could you dye your dress instead of adding appliqué? 1mon
  •   annethrallnash Oooo, good idea @ebbandsew! Maybe in the black walnut..... 1mon
