signalcycles Seven years ago I decided to create bikes with this dude. One garage, two creative spirits, and an endless blurring of confidence and uncertainty. We made great bikes together, created lofty ambitions, won awards, drove collaborations, moved the company into larger spaces and better than all, created unforgettable memories.
I was proud and sad when Matt decided to go back to school but it was the best move for his family. As the old man at grad school(sorry Matt) he had to wrestle with confidence and uncertainty. He made some incredible work, drove collaborations, pushed himself into larger spaces and better than all, created memories and brought his family through their adventure.
You can see where I'm going with this. Matt creates ambition, for himself and those around him. His balance of confidence and humility work well together. In his first "real job" at IBM design, he'll carry all those memories, failures, missed basketball dunks in the Signal shop, and genuine-ness of person and move forward.
And to his better half, @ecardinal his success is yours. This dude could have never pushed as hard as he has without your support. Equal congrats to you. Best wishes @mattcardinal and family!
