  •   bils_bilshkin What did u think? 1mon
  •   shannon1990 @bils_bilshkin loved it! Saw it in Melbourne last year and I have grown up listening to les mis thanks to my mum and dad and their musical theatre ways so it's one of my favourites. Are you going to see it? I want to tackle the novel.. Have you finished it? X 1mon
  •   bils_bilshkin Likewise! I've seen two amateur productions and saw the Sydney one earlier this year - but I must admit I thought it was slightly disappointing! Marius in particular. Still great - but I almost found the amateur cast was a little stronger overall (quite oddly). I have about 200 pages left - I reached a plateau in the book and sort of got jack of all the protracted metaphors ha. I've read about 6 books since. Some day! Some day I'll finish it. If only for claim haha. You reading anything atm? X @shannon1990 1mon
  •   shannon1990 Funny you mention that.. Mum and I were comparing this Sydney one to the one she did for a theatre guild when I was a bub.. They had a rotating stage and the battle scene was much more epic. I was disappointed by Marius and Cosette actually but Jean val Jean was really good!! I finished 'Walking on Trampolines' last week which I enjoyed but haven't picked up another book yet. Any suggestions? I'm currently en route to Byron bay so have plenty of time to read and have my e-reader with me (don't be cranky, it's great for travel!!) so can download something if you have any suggestions! @bils_bilshkin 1mon
  •   bils_bilshkin Yeah! Eponine was also amazing. I would recommend 'White Teeth' by Zadie Smith, 'A Visit From the Goon Squad', 'How to be good' - Nick Hornby - all three are hilarious and profound. Especially the former. I love classics, too. John Steinbeck's always a comfort :) enjoy Byron my love! 1mon
  •   saskia.largent You cutie! And yes!!! I love Les Mis! 1mon
