serpentinexblk And now was acknowledged the presence of the Red Death. He had come like a thief of the night. And one by one dropped the revellers in the blood-bewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall. And the life of the ebony clock went out with that last of the gay. And the flames of the tripods expired. And the Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all. -The Masque of the Red Death

serpentinexblk Cleaning turns up all kinds of gems. All from the Era of Vulgaris, of course. #qotsa #joshhomme #queensofthestoneage #2007 1w
  •   renholder I'd lick all of those if I could..m 1w
  •   kessho I know I have copies of the top two... Not sure about the Decibel. 1w
  •   serpentinexblk @kessho I know I found everything at Borders...and that's why I miss Borders, they always seemed to have more funky stuff than Barnes & Noble. At least ours here in Bakersfield did. 1w
  •   kessho @serpentinexblk Our Borders had some but not as much as a 2-storey one about 20 minutes away. Barnes and Noble got a LOT of overseas mags. Most of mine I had to order online, though. That's probably why I missed the Decibel. 1w
  •   serpentinexblk @kessho The Decibel is actually from Philly! Yeah, our Borders had more weird/funky/off-beat music and fashion mags. They were also the first to carry stuff like OUT here which was a big deal for ol' bible belt town here. 1w
  •   kessho I think it depended on who was working at BN/Borders, because sometimes one was more liberal or more conservative and then it would switch. Never knew what you might randomly find. 1w
  •   serpentinexblk @kessho Sadly, Borders is gone and our BN is a C+ at best with magazines. The OUT mags are still further back than most of the "male interest" magazines. So, yeah. 1w
  •   kessho That's why there's the internet, I guess. Or in my case, a trip to Powell's City of Books. 1w
