saywhatski I finally went through my photos from my trip to Colorado two weeks ago. All I wanted was a wider lens the whole time we were there so square just wasn't going to cut it. I'm glad my friend Jeff could come with me. I'm positive I would have swerved into a ditch without him. 3w

saywhatski I'm having a bear of a time getting these things to print properly. If any screen printing pros have some tips I'm all ears. My big issue is heavy ink on the sides. #screenprinting 2mon
  •   th3_h4g Ahhhhhh. Man that's the only thing I've never done. Wish I could help :( 2mon
  •   saywhatski @th3_h4g no worries. I'm beginning to think that it is an equipment limitation. We've got a new printmaking prof coming in August who might be able to shed some light. 2mon
  •   corrymears I feel your pain! I started a few months back and consistency is the hardest thing for me. Make sure your flood covers the image area completely before actually pulling or pushing over the paper. 2mon
  •   memphisisburnin Try not pre flooding at all but make sure you have plenty of ink. When you pull your ink keep your squeegee at about 80 to 85 degrees. Should clear it better and lay less ink. Let me know how it works out. 2mon
  •   landryman I have no idea. Use a measuring cup? To test the amount of ink to apply in order to get a more even spread? Maybe your ink is too thick? Or thin? Depending on the kind of paper you're using. I don't have much experience with screen printing. 2mon
  •   landryman Those still look pretty cool though. 2mon
  •   saywhatski @memphisisburnin thanks for the tip I'll give it a try. I'm using water based ink so I'm a little nervous about it drying in the screen. Any tricks there or just work fast? 2mon
  •   memphisisburnin That's all I use. Shirts, posters, stickers. All water based. You just have to work pretty fast but, with that squeegee angle you should have 3 or 4 minute with no problems. Most all of the ink will be gone from the screen. If you haven't already, tape two nickels under the edge of your screen farthest away from your hinges. One on either side. This will create "off contact" so your screen is popping off your paper and not sticking. Also, in 20 years, the only "off contact" I've ever used. 2mon

saywhatski I mostly took a lot of touristy photos while I was in D.C. this weekend but this may be my favorite.
He was holding his wife's jacket while she went to throw a cup away. I got to speak with them a little bit and they have been married for 70 years. It was a real joy to see the way they treated each other.
