samuelryan_ I don't know why, but I seem too be having a love affair with horses lately. I need to change this quickly, don't you think? This will be my last shot of Hay Bluff for a while, until I pay it another visit in late spring/summer. Hope you've enjoyed it 2d

samuelryan_ It's those moments where your intuition informs you where the light may hit. This time it payed off and I got the dramatic light I wanted. On a clear summers day, I bet the views from Hay Bluff are astounding, right @finn? 5d

samuelryan_ So I'm down in the dumps at the moment 🤒. Already in bed and keeping warm, I thought I'd post this one for you. I think I need to start travelling more and aiming my sights abroad to warmer climates ️. What do you think? 1w

samuelryan_ On my list of top locations in the Beacons is Hay Bluff. If you've never been, do yourself a favour and head there this weekend. I promise you, if the weather is playing ball, you'll love it as much as I do. 1w

samuelryan_ The weather gods threw the kitchen sink at me for this lot. I was determined to get back to Hay Bluff and did so last weekend. Cold and underprepared, I captured what I could. In the midst of it all, I didn't realise I was shooting jpeg either 2w

samuelryan_ As the day came to an end, we decided to take a long way home. We ended up in Hay on Wye. I promised myself I'd revisit Hay Bluff, and today I did just that. There will be more posts next week, so keep your eyes peeled. 2w

samuelryan_ "My name is Alexander. Today I quit my job. I am the happiest I have been in years. I feel liberated, inspired and confident. I decided to spend the night here, and in the morning, I shall walk west to the furthest part of the national park.

Being in this bothy alone for the night is one if my favourite things to do. If you read this I hope you have a happy life. Remember, money is not happiness, doing what you love is.” - A story from the bothy guest book

samuelryan_ Not long after you've passed the dam you stumble upon this 😬. It was quiet and all you could hear was the sound of water, with a slight breeze cutting through the blades of grass . What more could you want? 2w

samuelryan_ After an hours stroll, we finally arrived at the dam. This was not the final stage of our walk, and we were looking forward to what was ahead 😬. We kept plodding along with the temperature starting to drop🌡 2w

samuelryan_ Sometimes it's just a question of good composition, and waiting for the light. Guess what?! It never arrived, but I still took the shot anyway 2w

samuelryan_ Always remember to look back, otherwise you'll miss views like this one here. I knew we were going to return to this spot, so I would've got the shot either way, but it's a good think to keep telling yourself. 3w

samuelryan_ All that was missing was some mist and a light sabre battle. This could easily have been a set for the latest #starwars movie 🏻 3w

samuelryan_ After hours of researching new places to explore in Wales, @danielalford_ and I finally hit the road . Walking only a few footsteps from the car park, were came across this view. Crossing the bridge and entering the woodland 🌲 with its resident goat 🐏, we both knew this was only the beginning of a great day out 3w

samuelryan_ It's been a while, but I'm finally back. A new year, my plan is to take it easy. I think I outdid myself last year and covered a lot of mileage in a short amount of time. This year I hope to concentrate on capturing my best images yet. That said, I do not plan on sharing every image I take like I did last year. Looking back, I know I've got a long way to go.

Focusing on our craft, I hope you'll notice an improvement in the images I post. Being very tough on myself, I've found that I've not taken any worthy images of recent, but plans are in works to change this. I'm in the process of planning my second trip to the Isle of Skye and setting foot on the shores of Iceland.

I haven't got the worst job in the world, but it does eat into a lot of my time. I understand that I'm not the only one sailing this boat and it's no excuse, but along with personal matters, I haven't felt so powerless in a while. Thank you for your patience and for those have hung around in my absence, you rock!

samuelryan_ I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and kind comments throughout 2015. While sitting here and reflecting on this past year, I cannot be happier. However, it's time to take it to another level next year, and I cannot wait to take you along for the ride. Have a good night, and I wish you all the best in 2016! 1mon
