rmdub It's national puppy day, so here's a photo of mountains and a road from about an hour before it started snowing yesterday. 5d

rmdub I'm moving in 7d
  •   teamdreamteam Get a room already! 7d
  •   tippedcam Great place 7d
  •   adamsussman 7d
  •   johnbb1765 How far did u get up? To the top?! 7d
  •   rmdub @johnbb1765 close. Snow patches started around 9k and hit a wall around 9500ft. Hiked through some snow, but there was no end in sight. Probably 1/2 mile from the gate. 6d
  •   johnbb1765 When they clear the roads they allow bikes only on the road for a few days. Check w/ the park. Rangers told me this in the past. No cars - this road 6d
  •   rmdub @johnbb1765 yep, I went for that last year! It's about as good as it gets. 6d

rmdub No cars Yosemite fun times 1w
  •   rmdub @flyingpina not a whole lot further than this. Maybe a 1/4 mile past this the bigger patches of snow started. By Tioga Resort there was at least a foot for as far as I could see. 1w
  •   rmdub @kikolemus nice! One of my favorite roads. If you can plan it for when they plow it for bikes but leave it closed to cars it's about as good as it gets. 1w
  •   flyingpina @rmdub that descent too Lee Vining looks scary as hell. Even more so with snow patches. Solid adventure! 1w
  •   joepug @jordan_clark_haggard road trip 1w
  •   _gusthegoat HOLLY MOLLY! 1w
  •   shawnathun @rmdub When do they plow before it opens (roughly)? 6d
  •   rmdub @shawnathun last year it was the last weekend of April. Google "tioga pass opening dates" and you can see a list of the days it has opened in the past. Generally the bike weekend is the one right before. 6d
  •   rmdub @shawnathun if you follow @yosemitenps they'll usually start posting about the work being done on the road right before they re-open it. 6d

rmdub Sometimes... 1w
  •   rmdub @coffeeandbikes @mattdeviney I'm still quite the pathetic roadie on technical stuff, but it's nice to have new trails/roads to find. 1w
  •   mike_childers Get the bug! Dirt is where its at. 1w
  •   coffeeandbikes My mountain bike has been sitting in my dads garage in LA. I ride it even less than I get to visit California! Dirt is fun, haven't ridden much other than a cross bike for any real time though. 1w
  •   coffeeandbikes More buildings than mountains here 1w
  •   mattdeviney Yeah man, mountain bikes can be so much more than a thing you lug to a trailhead to get rad for two hours. Possibilities are amazing, especially when you get into the weird ones. 1w
  •   alxhlls @mattdeviney amen to the weird ones. I have a jones and I love it so much more than my full squish, 1w
  •   saltycyclingcap Let's go! 1w

rmdub @itsmeseant and I did a little gallery/story over on @theradavist about our recent trip up to Santa Cruz. I'd recommend curling up next to the fire this evening and reading Sean's words with all of your friends and family. 1w
  •   rmdub Link in bio! 1w
  •   nutter So good, the photos ruled, and @itsmeseant had me on the edge of my seat through that story! 1w
  •   meowlyn_ haha idk if my family wants to hear about Sean's poop 1w
  •   bikestationaptos Yeah! 1w
  •   jimxyz I feel bad enough when my dog drops a load on someone's yard - yikes 1w

rmdub Just when it looked like all hope was lost, @ultraromance put in a call and had this retina scrambler flown in from the Pentagon. 2w
  •   rmdub @exploreofcourse until I replace my broken @sony RX100 I'm using a Sony A7. 2w
  •   exploreofcourse There seem to be a lot A7's kicking around. Is size why you choose the RX100? 2w
  •   exploreofcourse I'm leaning towards an a6000 right now myself but I have 0 experience with purchasing cameras. Only the advice of people like yourself to go on! 2w
  •   rmdub @exploreofcourse size is the biggest thing. I'd still bring my A7 in certain scenarios. I would own an a6000 as my rx100 replacement right now if I wasn't convinced that they're announcing a new version in less than a month. 2w
  •   exploreofcourse Of the a600 or rx100 2w
  •   rmdub @exploreofcourse a6000 2w
  •   exploreofcourse Yuh don't say! Haha shoot man well I'm glad I brought it up. Thanks for the knowledge drop! 2w
