riderridee It's the time of year when #grasshoppers leap away before you like the dolphins in front of Prince Eric'a ship in the beginning of The Little Mermaid. Only caught one on camera, but in a particularly busy area, it's really like waves of them! 8h

riderridee This looks like a #peach or tree, just the next block over from me! I didn't think they grew where it gets so cold! 1d
  •   esquefood Peaches grow wonderfully up here in NJ! Actually where I live was once the center of a major peach growing area until a blight hit in the late 1800s. 1d
  •   riderridee @esquefood my college roommate lived on a sheep farm on a mountain in NH and she would always bring a ton of peaches back at the start of the year. I always think of them as distinctly southern, but obviously not! 1d

riderridee Any idea what these are? They are tiny #nuts found underneath a cedar tree, but I don't think they're from that tree. They are about the size of blackbeans, with a shell with a seam down one side like a pistachio. Small teardrop shapes nutmeat inside, taste not distinctive. #foraging #id #wildfood #nature #nofilter 2d

  •   fishforagefuck Do you know what these are? 6d
  •   riderridee @fishforagefuck I don't, sorry. They are probably some kind of Russula but I'm hopeless with that family. 5d
  •   fishforagefuck Nice! It can be tough to get really specific with Russula types. These are really stunning! The just look perfect. 4d
