Robin Trower
______________________________________
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Trower at his sold out show in Nashville the other night. My dear friend Dave serves as his road manager and called me a few weeks back letting me know they would be in town. "You don't suppose he would let me..." (remember, it never hurts to ask). Dave had shared with me how Robin has his own rhythm to life and like keeping things on schedule, so I knew my window would be a peep hole. So I shook his hand, sat him down, squeezed off 6 shots, shook his hand and bid him adieu. He told Dave as he drove him to his hotel before the show "That's how you know a proffessional, they take about 10 shots to get what they want". Yeah, that made me beam.
.

Robin Trower is part of a new phenomenom of older musicians who have never stopped the pursuit of their art. Sadly they fly under the radar of our youth minded culture. If young artists stop pulling from the mentors and masters those new voices may eventually whither and fade into a vacuous void.

  •   annielipton That's awesome! I'm like let me take 500 pictures and pray I like one 1mon
  •   recoveringmusician @annielipton I'm normally the same, but I knew I had to be quick and decisive. I was already planning in my head how I would light him and place him. I also got a couple great live shots. 1mon
