rebeccaingham "Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place." This is something I need to keep reminding myself of, from time to time. 6h

rebeccaingham Fast & simple breakfast today:

Precooked steel cut oats (1/2 cup) with a tiny bit of real maple syrup & 2 eggs scrambled in some coconut oil.

Equals 1 carb (21 day fix: yellow) & 1 protein (21 day fix: red), plus 1 fat.

Have you had your breakfast today? What was it? I'd love to hear so share in the comments below.

rebeccaingham Workout number 1 completed for the day!

Needed a little something quick to get me going, so picked Focus T25 Alpha Cardio on Beachbody on Demand. Being able to stream my workouts on my Roku totally rocks!

And, 168 calories in 25 minutes isn't too shabby! Over 600 for the day, and we've just begun.

I'm working on getting 360 active minutes in this week, and looks like I'll average about 5 or so calories a minute. That will break down to 1800 calories, which means I can enjoy some extra goodies on Thanksgiving Thursday!

Today I still have a 45 minute yoga class to teach and a 50 minute INSANITY class to teach, so should have a great calorie burn by the end of the day.

Do you have some workout goals for this week, especially with it being Thanksgiving? I'd love to hear it!!

rebeccaingham I love salads, but eating them when it's cold outside is not my favorite thing.

One way I trick myself into eating them more often in the wintertime is by adding some warm protein to it.

Today, for lunch, I went with a huge Taco Salad with taco meat with chili beans, and it definitely hit the spot.

rebeccaingham Welcome to Thursday!

I love this reminder, don't you?
I know that sometimes when we are going through real, serious challenges, it's hard to remember this. But it's through the challenges in life, big and small, that we grow and become more of who are meant to be.

Post about your day 3 of your push-up challenge in the comments below, and share what else you did today (or plan to do today) to make the day a success.

rebeccaingham Woke up at 2:30am and surprisingly ready to start my day! But, if the alarm wasn't set for 3am, I just may have had to rethink that.

Got up and out the door for the Y with my Wednesday morning go-to's: -Strawberry superfood shake with some energizing pre-workout
-and a Banana

Now all set for some INSANITY Live in just a bit!

I'd love to hear how your day is starting off.

rebeccaingham It's important to get some good fuel in you in the morning, and this is what I'm having today:

Strawberry superfood smoothie with unsweetened almond milk & a little bit of orange/mango juice. I also added a tablespoon of chia & a scoop of my energizing preworkout drink.

Also having some steel cut oats (premade these and froze in batches) with some walnuts & a bit of honey.

It's sure hitting the spot on this chilly, gloomy Iowa morning!

Today I am teaching yoga & later on INSANITY; those will pretty much be my workouts for the day.

What was for breakfast in your house? What's on tap for your workout today? I'd love to hear!

rebeccaingham Good morning and happy Tuesday!! This is a great reminder; we always have the opportunity to change the direction we are going in. We always have the choice to change our lives. We just have to do it!

Post about your day 2 of push-ups and about how your day is going today too, in the comments below.

rebeccaingham Who says real, clean eats has to be time-consuming, complicated, or expensive?

This meal we had for dinner was Chickpeas (from a can, but you can make your own from dried), which were sautéed in olive oil with some garlic, red pepper flakes and salt.

Next, roasted root veggies; I used golden beets, sweet potatoes, carrots and onion. Tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper and roasted in a 425 degree oven for 40 minutes (turning halfway). Piled it all on top of a little brown rice (1/2 cup for me, already cooked), and we had a great meal that was easy and cheap to make!

What was your dinner like tonight?

rebeccaingham Heading home from teaching a kick butt PiYo class!

If you like yoga or Pilates, PiYo is a fusion of both, set to fun music and will challenge any fitness level, plus help you get a pretty good sweat going too.

I will be coaching a new group through PiYo or another workout program of your choice in just a couple weeks; you are welcome to join us!

Either comment below or message me if you are interested in joining, or would like more info.

rebeccaingham Happy Monday!! Regardless of how your week or weekend went, it's a new day and a new week, and a fresh chance to get back at it.

I decided it would be fun to do a push-up challenge, and would like to invite anyone who wants to do it with me to join in!

First determine what level you are starting at (do the push-up test if you aren't sure). Next, go to week 1/day 1 and follow the chart for the amount of push-ups you are to do today.

Post below when you are done, and also what else you did (or need to confess to doing!) today.

Also, is there anyone who cannot do push-ups, say because of carpel tunnel or other issues? If so, let me know and I will give you another option so you can still be part of the challenge here.

Make it a great one everybody!
