reannonhope Am I EVER going to enjoy this bloody exercise palaver? Who knows! What i do know is that listening to @sweetteenclub makes it 1000% more bearable.
I'm actually totally into podcast right now @brookemcalary #slowhomepodcast is a big fave, also straight and curly, chat10 looks3, Wilosophy, & No Filter. What about you? #ihatethetreadmill #sweetteenclub

  •   reannonhope That's what I hear too @jessebt20 I feel them after I do combat but fuck the treadmill is just boring!! 7h
  •   smaggle Thank you for trying it's so glitchy! I've tried to leave one 3 times for another podcast and it just disappears! 7h
  •   reannonhope That does not surprise me @veggie_mama I bet you listen to lots of smart stuff! I just like listening to people talk about their lives because I'm a sticky beak! 7h
  •   jessebt20 Thats probably why the treadmill we've borrowed has sat in the corner since we've had it! Lol @reannonhope 7h
  •   veggie_mama Nah, just weird shit 6h
  •   rhiannontoast I hate exercise. Well, mostly I hate the thought of it. Once I'm doing it it's not unbearable. Afterwards feels amazing. But that lead up, where you have to talk yourself into it, that SUCKS. 6h
  •   reannonhope I hate everything except my combat class @rhiannontoast I come out of that a sweaty mess but feeling a million bucks!! Everything else I have to reeeeeeally talk myself into. Lately I just tell myself it's my podcast time :) 6h
  •   bakerandbirch You're doing fantastically! Keep it up girl 🏼 @reannonhope 5h

reannonhope You'd think after living in Perth for almost 9 years I'd be used to February's searing heat, summers exhaustively high temps & the fact that I live in place that is often hotter than hell. But no, I'm not. So I'll keep filling the ice tray for the toddlers to snack on, so the dog has cool water & the chooks something icy to eat in the afternoon heat. I'll keep the blinds closed, the AC will be turned back on once the heat becomes unbearable & I'll pretend it's just not happening for the rest of the week. #idontliketheheatcanyoutell #perthsummer #hotterthanhell #ihaveapoolandacbutstilliwhingeabouttheheat 12h
  •   reannonhope I have never been @jaaaackietaylor but I'm pretty sure it's where im supposed to be :) 6h
  •   thecookspyjamas How do you give ice to chickens? We lost one yesterday in the heat. 5h
  •   reannonhope I just put it in a dish with some frozen veg mixed in @thecookspyjamas then they just peck away at it all. I've been worried about my girls in the heat too, it's just too intense! 5h
  •   jaaaackietaylor You'd be at home I'm sure. Like stepping back in time. 4h
  •   stink.bomb @reannonhope it was costing us a fairly considerable amount of money so at the time, it was the right thing to do. 4h
  •   thecookspyjamas That's a great idea thanks @reannonhope Never thought about frozen vege. The chicken we list wasn't all that well anyway so obviously the heat was the last straw. I'm keeping an eagle eye on the rest though. 4h
  •   reannonhope They seem to love it @thecookspyjamas every now & then I go & hose down whatever shrub they are sitting under & give them a fresh bowl. 4h
  •   ilovegreenmichelle I've been freezing broth / old soup I forgot to eat etc for the chooks too, just slowly melts for the poor hot things 3h

reannonhope A $10 box of tomatoes & a few hours in the kitchen = 6 jars of whole tomatoes, 5 jars of pasta sauce, 5 jars of tomato purée, 3 jars of hot tomato sauce & jar of relish. That's 50cents per jar, jars that have very little ingredients but a whole lot of taste. 1d

reannonhope It's been many, many years since I've started a book at lunchtime & finished it before bed but that's exactly what I did today. Not all books need to be big, deep & meaningful. Sometimes it's nice to just read something easy, something that's a little familiar & everyday but stirs your heart. 3d
  •   janathome Sounds wonderful, and I agree on the type of book..some of my faves are 'childrens' books/classics etc..must check it out 3d
  •   stink.bomb @reannonhope was it good? 2d
  •   reannonhope It's a really lovely read @janathome @stink.bomb with an ending that goes a little bit AWOL but I still liked it a lot :) 2d

reannonhope Every time I cut my own hair I'm always like " right, I'm never cutting my own hair again!" And then I cut my own hair again. I wonder when I'll learn that just because I was a hair model as a teenagers doesn't actually mean I know how to cut hair? 4d
  •   reannonhope Oh my sister had that a few years ago now @stink.bomb & it took her FOREVER to commit to growing it out but it finally did a few months ago. I quite like that look but am not brave enough to do it. Although I did have a number two crew cut when I was 19.... 4d
  •   reannonhope Mine is ok mostly too @janathome the curls hide a multitude of sins!! 4d
  •   dr_sash Looking good lady! Hair is on point! 🏻 4d
  •   stink.bomb @reannonhope really?! Jealous! I'm forever telling Guv that I want to shave all my hair off but this year, the desire has increased tenfold, it feels like my soul would find it very cathartic. 3d
  •   reannonhope Thanks @dr_sash 🏼 3d
  •   reannonhope I totally did @stink.bomb & then a few months later I fell pregnant so that was an awesome look!! It is VERY liberating & I often think about doing it again. I feel like you should do it :) 3d
  •   stink.bomb @reannonhope I feel like I should do it too, Guv however, doesn't get that same feeling! #damntheman 3d
  •   reannonhope Haha any time ever mention it @stink.bomb my whole family tell me not too! 3d

reannonhope Yesterday I made some hot, sweet chilli sauce & a jar of mayo as big as my head! My fridge is full of jars of things I've made- pesto, relish, hot sauce, ti chi sauce, jam, mint jelly, a sore throat concoction. It got me wondering when we stopped learning & teaching these things & started buying pre made varieties?
I've only started doing it this past year & it's all been from books/ the internet. I get a huge kick out it & really, really hope it's something my kids will carry with them when they have families of their own one day.

  •   sarah_gooley We pickle and make sauces depending on what is cheap and in abundance at the markets. It is so satisfying and a grand way to jazz up any meal or sanga. X 5d
  •   penny_and_oop That's awesome! 5d
  •   reannonhope Often everything else takes a back seat while I cook @jessebt20 - my house is a mess, my kids are watching ABCKids or running wild outside & im braless in my jammies but hey, I have food in jars 5d

reannonhope Somehow my go slow, stay at home day has seen me venture down to the local markets where I picked up these five tiny succulents for $10, a kilo of honey for $8, a jar of mulberry & chilli jam for $5 PLUS - 2kg of potatoes 1.5kg of carrots 2 kg of onions 2 zucchini 4 lemons & a big handful of giant chillis all for SIX BUCKS!! Can't be mad at that 6d
