rachelrodemann My dear friend Amberly Léger set up this amazing charity auction of #ETID gear for us and another rock n' roll family.
Amberly's husband, Legs, of Every Time I Die, had donated a gorgeous SJC snare drum and a bunch of other great prizes from his good friends at SJC Custom Drums.
All proceeds minus shipping cost will be donated to us and the Bourne family.

Each $20 donation earns a "ticket" in the raffle, that includes: -Custom SJC Snare signed by Legs Léger and members of Every Time I Die -SJC Flag, beer koozie, t-shirt, key chain, scarf and sticker -Limited edition Every Time I Die socks

Thank you so much to this lovely lady, the ETID family and all our friends around the world.

rachelrodemann Hanging out with these sweet, sleepy boys on our snow day. These two light up my life. I am so lucky to have a couple of bumbley little snuggle heads to call my baby bees.

rachelrodemann Even with all we have going on with doctors appointments and insurance claims and accident reports; even after waking up every few hours to help Sara with anything she needs; even while working long, extra hours to make up for all the work he's missed the past few weeks; and even while battling the flu, @corybrandan found time to sneak out and buy cards and flowers for us girls this weekend.
Even after we decided it was way too tiring a time to bother with Valentine's Day (which I LOVE, and relish in all its pink glitter glory) he went out of his way while I was asleep to find the biggest, pinkest bouquet in Van Buren.
There is no end to the number of times I could say "I love you" to this man. He makes me feel special and loved and needed every day. Near or far, rich or poor, rested or exhausted, he always makes sure I am taken care of.
He takes my breath away.

rachelrodemann We are so happy to have our sweet bears home. Your love and light are so appreciated and your prayers have made a miraculous recovery even more so.
Everyone has been so kind to us, and we will never forget all those who have called, texted, messaged and tweeted asking how Sara is, and how we are as well.

There is a link to the GoFundMe page we have set up in my bio. You are all so amazing.

rachelrodemann Sunday evening our daughter Sara was in a terrible wreck. She has an army of angels watching her, and we are so thankful that this situation is no worse.

Her car is crushed into a tiny ball, but her only injury is a broken pelvis. Her brain, spine and organs were unharmed. She is a miracle.
She had surgery Tuesday to anchor her pelvis and begin the process of healing and the doctors say it went ideally, everything they hoped going in they were able to accomplish.

Though the doctors thought she would be at the hospital a week or two after surgery, she has been released today! She and Cory are headed back from Little Rock as I type, and Atticus and I are making the final preparations for her newly wheelchair-accessible bedroom.

After today we start the long process of rehabilitation. Though we originally heard it could be a sixth month process of healing, we not hear it could be half that. Prayers work. She will be growing stronger every day and doctors believe there will not be any lasting damage.
We pray that this is life-changing in the best way; That she learns she can overcome absolutely anything. We pray that she will be healed completely and rapidly and miraculously. We pray for her heart, as this is going to be the toughest road imaginable for a young, independent woman.

Thank you so, so much to all who have already helped us along the way. Your prayers have been heard and your messages have soothed our weary souls. We are so incredibly grateful to all of you who have reached out to us.
If you'd like to donate financially, I have posted a link in my bio to her GoFundMe page, where we will post updates as we get them.

rachelrodemann This morning after I dropped K off at school I had to wipe tears from my cheeks as I drove away, simply because he makes me so proud.

I'm proud of him when he wakes up the first time I call his name in the morning. I'm proud of him for always being ready to go. I'm proud of him for always speaking to me in the car on the way to school. He makes me laugh almost every morning, even though we are so tired and it's too cold and it's too early.
I'm proud when he is named student of the month, and when he makes the honor roll, and when he aces his driving test; but I'm also proud of him for all the little things that just make him my baby bee. All those tiny moments, never spoken, make my heart swell every day.

Mom life is weird.

rachelrodemann Ok and here's the last of the Bar Mitzvah photos. These kids seriously break it down on the dance floor. 4w

rachelrodemann Then again I don't have any aunts or uncles who break it down like this at family events. 4w

rachelrodemann And what Bar Mitzvah isn't followed by a crazy 13-year-old-appropriate dance party?
This photo and the one just prior are from Joseph's first Hora, an Israeli tradition he was so excited to carry-on.

rachelrodemann Joseph's Bar Mitzvah was an especially exciting first for me because his mother is from Israel and his father is from Ireland! The mix of their traditions and families made for one of the most energetic and enthusiastic events I have ever photographed.

Here, Joseph joins with family members from across the globe, to dance in boundless joy on the synagogue steps.

Inkwell Rachel Putman
rachelrodemann I was honored to fly out to New York a few weekends ago to photograph @jojo_duane's Bar Mizvah.
This was my first Bar Mizvah, and I had so much fun learning all the intricacies of the religious ceremony and the traditions that guide it!
Mazel tov, Joseph!
