  •   mickday1 @propercharlie ha ha great pic Charlie ....I got locked in there one evening.Got engrossed with the plants etc and we had to climb over the high railings at the bottom end:))) My mate is 66yrs old ,it must have looked hilarious to the people who live in the houses opposite.they have done wonders with the renovation there:) 1y
  •   propercharlie @mickday1 I assumed the park keepers (is that what they're called nowadays) did a trawl through the whole of the gardens before locking up. At least you were breaking *out* rather than in ! It would have made a good photo for fencepostfriday perhaps ... prepare yourself for a few more photos from the botanical gardens ! 1y

  •   gilliangaffrey #theydontbuildthemlikethisnow ? Lovely shot Charlie 1y
  •   propercharlie @leyssa_schmidt It is amazing isn't it ~ this is certainly a good example if something lasting a long, long time. 1y
  •   propercharlie @gilliangaffrey Thank you Gillian ~ can you imagine a feature like this being incorporated in a modern house ? I wonder how much it would cost to replicate now ? 1y
  •   gilliangaffrey I've tagged you an earlier picture of mine which is along these lines Charlie. Not done much photographing as I'm helping my daughter and son in law with decorating. Maybe next week I'll be out and about again. Hope you're ok and starting to get out a bit again :-) 1y
  •   propercharlie @gilliangaffrey I was wondering what had happened to you ... let's hope you will be able to get out again soon ! I've been out for a short walk but not 100% yet. Had to visit my GP for painkillers in Friday ... and they have helped. 1y
  •   propercharlie 'in' = 'on' (see above) 1y
  •   gilliangaffrey Sorry you've had pain Charlie, no one should endure that. Hopefully the painkillers start doing their job, and you feel the benefit. Yes, the price to make a lead hopper today might be just out of reach for a lot of today's builders! :-) 1y
