os83 The Jo Blackburn Bridge (US Highway 62) and Young's High Bridge as seen from Wild Turkey Distillery. These historic structures span the Kentucky River and connect Woodford with Anderson County. Blackburn Bridge was built in 1932 and is a rare S-curve bridge. Young's High Bridge was built in 1889 and carried railroad traffic until 1985. After changing hands a few times since then, the bridge now serves as a unique bungee jumping platform operated by Vertigo Bungee. #vscocam #vsco 1w

os83 Sample of Forgiven (this and Rare Breed were our favorites), at the end of a fantastic tour of Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Our first Kentucky Bourbon Trail stop in 2015, and one that will be tough to top. 1w

os83 The Louisville Water Tower is a 183-foot tall structure that, other than its base decorated with Greek and Roman figures, is essentially a Doric column. I posted a shot nearly identical to this in my early Instagram days because I liked the contrast with the Corinthian columns of the pumping station. Now that I have a much better camera, I wanted to attempt to reproduce that photo. These amazing buildings were completed in 1858 and began supplying Ohio River water to the town in 1860. The newly-formed Louisville Water Company had been desperately needed, as local epidemics of typhoid and cholera were common. Though it hasn't been operational since the early 20th century, the Water Tower remains one of Louisville's most recognized and beloved symbols. #vscocam #vsco 2w

os83 @Reebar and I spent yesterday afternoon in Horse Cave, Kentucky to visit Hidden River Cave and the American Cave Museum. You literally can't miss the cave when you enter the town - there's a huge sinkhole right next to Main Street. The "hidden river" floods the cave regularly, and groundwater pollution once necessitated a decades-long closure. Those pollution issues were corrected during the 20th century, and it's been a fascinating conservation and tourism success story ever since. This shot is from just inside the cave on the 165-step staircase entrance, looking back up at the museum. #vscocam #vsco 2w
