ohnoradeo In the past 8 years I've lived in 6 different states and have never second guessed leaving one to move onto the next. Living in Oregon has really softened me up though. I've always just considered wherever I lay my head as home but Ive accidentally acquired a handful of tangible things/circumstances that make me feel comfortable and secure in one specific spot, that leaving it has made me feel so homesick for the first time in my life and afraid it would be different when I got back. Initially I decided to go to Alaska with @crystalahoy despite how happy I was in Portland because I've found that some things just don't grow in a comfort zone and I needed to challenge myself more. Growing as a person and learning new things is the most important thing to me and I never want a feeling like comfort or being afraid to hinder that in any way. I always try to keep a good balance and never rely on any one thing other than myself for security, comfort or happiness....I like the guarantee that comes with being in control of those things. I've come to realize though that softening up a little bit, letting things go beyond your control, and adapting to a new routine 2400 miles away in Alaska is all a part of the same growing process I sought out in the first place.....which oddly enough is a comforting thought to me. 1mon
