ninavizz The lovely earthen-dome home of Eatwell's founder, Nigel, who's recovering from cancer treatments... so I kept my distance while at the farm, despite wanting to oogle at its badassery. 3d

ninavizz "A" for effort on the social media marketing w/ the cute signs at the head of the field rows. Maybe it's the best marketing of all that this user completely did not give a hoot about hashtagging all her photos properly (or about photo-sharing at all, while actually there)? Maybe?? #eatwellfarms #StrawberryDays2015 3d

ninavizz Maker peeps: this is a metal earring of my roomie's and she wants to make things like it. Techshop said no on the laser cutter? Is this kinda thing usually done on a waterjet? The metal seems so thin! /cc @mikeestee @christopher_t_palmer @sfslim @mr_nightshade ??? 4d
  •   mikeestee usually on a laser, depending on how thick the gauge and how well the laser is tuned it's going to be north of 600W 4d
  •   mikeestee you could also mill it, but the interior sharps would be less... sharp 4d
  •   justingraywrx 3-D printed than silver cast. 4d
  •   christopher_t_palmer Yea, most likely cut with a laser, but like @mikeestee says, it's a lotta laser. 4d
  •   missstryker Omg I have the same earrings or really close to it 4d
  •   jessiep You can't cut it yourself at a place like Techshop, but you can send it out to someone for laser cutting (a friend had it done for her master's project). And I t's too fine to water jet. 4d
  •   brepettis Could also be acid etched. 4d
  •   bjheinley I was going to suggest acid 3d
