needleandspatula Making a #geraniumdress for Easter - I was going to make the ruffle sleeves yellow but didn't have enough fabric. Now I am second guessing whether it looks cute with the bodice and skirt in different fabrics. Do you think it would look better with a pinkish contrast band at the hem (in a 3rd fabric)? Or am I overthinking and it's fine as is? 2mon

  •   greenleafgoods They look so great! I love the idea of making placemats to practice, such a manageable size! 6mon

needleandspatula Easy tip for sewing binding strips together (or any other small diagonal seam) - drop your needle right at the start of the seam and then pull the needle or bobbin thread out and use it as a guide to sew next to. Do other folks do this? I got the idea from nancy zieman's technique for sewing darts 6mon

needleandspatula Well it mostly fits although it's a br snug and the hood is kinda loose. Good enough though! Hopefully she doesn't freak out and cry when she puts it on for Halloween like she did today... #dailyesther 7mon
