needleandspatula New double gauze #fancysailortop. Finally got back to my sewing room to hem it a couple weeks after I sewed it! Tried to make the best use out of this being a reversible fabric. 2w

needleandspatula Yesterday's project- cutting cardboard into crazy shapes to make a doll highchair. Glad it turned out pretty much how I pictured it in my head! She's been playing with it pretty much nonstop since I made it so is say it's a hit. 3w

needleandspatula Another pair of @cottonandsteel toddler shorts - pattern from girls style book (Japanese pattern book) with smaller hem binding and pockets added, and an adjustable waistband. Pretty excited about how these turned out! #cottonandsteel 2mon

needleandspatula I have this thing about how "boy" things like trucks, robots, dinosaurs, (math, science) etc can be for girls too. So I have made Esther a lot of clothes that are girly but also have these themes - possibly to a ridiculous extent where I had to remind myself that it was ok to also make her tshirts with flowers and butterflies haha. Anyways, here she is sporting her purple freezer paper stenciled rocket tee and purple #lizzyhouse Dino shorts. And her pink #oliverands bucket hat. 2mon

needleandspatula And another shot from earlier with her new #briarrose #heatherross knit shirt. Kids got a fun summer wardrobe! I've made her a ton of clothes so I'm going to try to get better about sharing them. Although if her total opposition to being photographed is an ongoing thing that could make it harder. 3mon

needleandspatula Wearing her new #amhknits shirt at the park. Today whenever I tried to take her photo she would say "no, don't do that!" Because she wanted me to put away my phone and pay attention to her I guess? Fair enough. 3mon

needleandspatula Making a #geraniumdress for Easter - I was going to make the ruffle sleeves yellow but didn't have enough fabric. Now I am second guessing whether it looks cute with the bodice and skirt in different fabrics. Do you think it would look better with a pinkish contrast band at the hem (in a 3rd fabric)? Or am I overthinking and it's fine as is? 5mon
