nathaliebearden Watching paint dry. Reason 5238 I love my husband. I get a crazy idea and sometimes he says, go for it. It turned out quite the stunner, if I may say so. 6d

nathaliebearden Oh me oh my. I love it already. Also, I am so detailed (or a pain in the rear) oriented I'd make Tom Silva in This Old House look like a rookie. I am sure the contractors love me. 1w

  •   fivepotatoes And it's always a fun peek into another person's interests when you see their books! It tells a lot about them 1w

nathaliebearden I've got my priorities straight. First room to be completely finished is my soon-to-be new studio space. This room has had about 12 lives, here's to its 13th life. A blank canvas! Wider plank floors (7" instead of 5") that go all of the way to the wall which allowed us to skip the 1/4" round or shoe old. A much cleaner look. And Doors, doors, a studio with doors!!!!! I can't contain the excitement. Moving in tonight. 2w
  •   candyandmoss So exciting. Can't wait to see the transformation. 1w
  •   fivepotatoes You're a busy girl! I'm starting to think you rigged that toilet mishap! 1w
  •   nathaliebearden @fivepotatoes oh my gosh, I would be cursing myself if I had done that on purpose. My freaking life got upside down. I will be finding dust in my sock drawer a year from now. If I hear one more dead gum nail gun, I will cry! 1w
  •   nathaliebearden @annelies_b there's has to be at least one reward! At least. 1w
  •   nathaliebearden @spontaneousthreads my stuff barely fits. Argh! Have to go through everything and thin it all out. I just threw everything there and hope to get things in order once kids are asleep. 1w
  •   nathaliebearden @candyandmoss this has been like watching paint dry. But, the end is in sight!! 1w
  •   jennthurston That would be a dream come true! What a beautiful studio that will be! 1w

nathaliebearden Tomorrow we will finally have new floors and wood on the stairs. I want to paint the risers. White was the first choice, but maybe kind of boring. Ombre is too trendy for me. So I am thinking a pale blue. I like the blue at the top of this staircase (image via Real Simple Magazine). Anyways, I have been a total decor chicken lately. I am so reluctant to take risks in this house. 2w

nathaliebearden Her goal was to turn four and get rid of the training wheels, she did that. This evening, she rode three miles without one bit of fuss. Now, if only I had this kind of determination. I've been trying to get up at 6 AM for a month. The snooze button has become a good friend. Tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. I will be up at 6. No matter how many times that baby gets up to nurse. 3w
  •   libbydibby That's crazy impressive for a 4yo 3w
  •   karendavisphotography Darn nursing babies 3w
  •   brookeraymond Amazing! 3w
  •   sewpsychd go girls!!!! 3w
  •   laurie3.14 Sleep is really important when you are nursing & trying to stay emotionally stable with small children. My guess is that you are trusting your body when you hit the snooze button and that's a good thing. 3w

nathaliebearden My studio is a hodgepodge of fabric, kid toys, and art projects. It stays mostly a mess but I was attempting to organize it today. In doing so, I found a big stack of iPhone photos I had printed a while back. It got me thinking that If there ever was a line between mother and maker, mine merged long ago. It is a struggle sometimes, no doubt, but I'd have it no other way. 1mon
